WandaVision has seen tremendous success with fans and critics following its release, with three episodes of the Disney+ series now out in the wild.
Though the series is certainly taking its time with how the story unfolds, Monica Rambeau actress Teyonah Parris reassured that answers to the show's mysteries will be unveiled soon. The show will supposedly shift focus at some point, according to leading actress Elizabeth Olsen.
WandaVision's other co-lead, Paul Bettany, has spoken about the series at length, including the addition of a surprise character. The Vision actor also discussed his long tenure in the MCU, calling it "a ride of a lifetime."
Fans are waiting with bated breath to find out where WandaVision leads, with Bettany teasing the involvement of a mystery actor...
A SURPRISING END FOR WANDAVISION
In an interview with Lights, Camera, Pod, WandaVision actor Paul Bettany teased the ending of the series and how it will involve a mystery actor.
Marvel Studios is known for its major reveals, and Bettany said that audiences will be "massively surprised" by the show's ending:
"I think they're going to be massively surprised by the end of the show. I mean, just...I really think people are going to be like 'OH MY GOD!' And they're going to look at the MCU in a whole new light, and also have a much deeper understanding of what direction it's moving."
Bettany also hinted at the appearance of an actor that he has always wanted to work with, something that he has mentioned in the past:
"I would also say that, you know, so many things get leaked and people find out about certain things but there's this thing that's been kept completely under wraps that happens, and I work with this actor that I have always wanted to work with...And we have fireworks together and the scenes are great, and...I think people will be really excited...and the scenes are pretty intense."

A WHOLE NEW LIGHT FOR THE MCU
WandaVision is already heading in a very exciting direction, so it will be interesting to see how the series manages to top what has already been put on display. The fact that Paul Bettany says that fans will view the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "a whole new light" indicates that the series will bring forth a major shift in the franchise. The multiverse seems to have an impact on several upcoming Marvel properties, so perhaps this could be what Bettany is referring to.
Bettany previously teased that he would be working with a mysterious actor during the series, so the question remains as to who it could be. As it seems to be "completely under wraps," the reveal seems to be on a similar level to the major revelation of Luke Skywalker being in The Mandalorian Season 2.
Evan Peters has been rumored to appear in the series, possibly to reprise his role as Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men franchise. Alternatively, a completely separate actor could be brought in, similar to Matt Damon's surprise appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, to play a significant role, such as the villain Mephisto.
Whatever the ending ends up being, Paul Bettany's sentiments are sure to get fans excited five weeks ahead of the finale.
"Episode 4" of WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ January 29, 2021.
