With all the potential of the streaming world now at Disney's fingertips, the possibilities for Star Wars are limitless. The Mandalorian is well into its second season, with at least two more on the way, and has reached unfathomable heights of popularity. Series starring Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor are soon set to begin production, and a Boba Fett show and project spearheaded by Leslye Headland are said to be ramping up as well.

The extended amount of content these series provide allows for unexpected crossovers between new and old characters too. This time last year, seeing Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano alongside Din Djarin was a pipedream. Bo-Katan's live-action debut in The Mandalorian has opened up many new narrative doors that could be explored, and the actress behind the helmet has some ideas of her own for what can be done with the character - and with whom...

NEWS

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, actress Katee Sackhoff said she'd like to see Sabine Wren appear alongside Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian:

"I do love the character Sabine."

Sackhoff also said she'd like to see how her character's relationship with her sister, Satine, unfolded:

"I would also like to see what Bo-Katan's life was like with Satine, her sister, and what it was like losing her sister the way she did - for anyone that doesn't know that you need to go watch Clone Wars and Rebels!"

Of course, a good piece of that story can't told without The Negotiator himself:

"But you know, her life with Obi-Wan and things like that. I would love to know what happened with all of that and how that actually impacted Bo-Katan as a leader."

WHAT THIS MEANS

Bo-Katan brings a lot of opportunity for future stories to be told in the live-action space. The character's relationship with Sabine Wren had many bumps in Rebels but culminated in mutual respect, and the Mandalorian leader losing the Darksaber that was entrusted to her could make for a great entry point into The Mandalorian for the latter.

As compelling as Kryze's future is, her backstory is equally compelling. Bo-Katan and Satine couldn't be more unlike one another in nearly every way - except for their natual ability to rule. When we meet them in The Clone Wars, it becomes immediately clear that the sisters' views for the future of Mandalore are on polar opposite ends of the spectrum.

How can one of the girls become a pacifist will the other grows up to be a warrior? There appears to be a fairly significant age difference between two, but they had a close enough relationship to become estranged, and the battles between Mandalore and Death Watch were personal.

Any backstory series featuring Satine has to somehow involve Obi-Wan. The frequently-alluded-to fling between the young Jedi and Duchess of Mandalore is a story still untold, and how their relationship impacted Bo-Katan could make for a great amount of character growth.

It seemed as though Kenobi and Bo-Katan were just meeting for the first time in Clone Wars, but the latter could've been much younger during an initial encounter. Star Wars is about family, and clan Kryze is full of plenty of turmoil. With the rest of her family gone, Bo-Katan's future could hinge on what she's learned from her past.
