Warning - This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 2.

Part of the fun of Star Wars is the interconnected narrative of the franchise, giving certain characters a chance to crossover to different projects to either tie up loose ends or expand the storyline in an exciting way. The Mandalorian Season 2 is no stranger to that concept since the latest chapter of the Disney+ series has already delivered exciting additions to please longtime fans.

Season 2 opened up with the shocking debut of Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth while ending the premiere episode with the surprise return of Boba Fett. While the second episode didn't provide earth-shattering cameos, it still managed to provide a glimpse of the early days of the New Republic.

The third episode of the fresh new season, however, pulled out all the stops by showcasing the live-action debut of a fan-favorite animated character in the form of Bo-Katan Kryze. The character's debut in The Mandalorian was the main topic among rumors in the past months, boosting fan anticipation for the sophomore run of the series.

With Bo-Katan now confirmed to be part of The Mandalorian series, the attention of fans will now shift to the looming debut of another fan-favorite, Ahsoka Tano. However, a new interview may add more intrigue about the inclusion of the highly-popular Jedi.

NEWS

While speaking with ET Online, Katee Sackhoff, who portrays Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian Season 2, claimed that she is unaware of Rosario Dawson's involvement as Ahsoka Tano in the hit Star Wars show. The actress even pointed out that she "never met" Dawson, but she revealed that she "loves" the Ahsoka character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels

"I honestly don't know anything about it [Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka]. There's so many fan casts, so many rumors surrounding The Mandalorian. Some of them are true, some of them aren't. I have no idea. I've never met Rosario so I don't know anything about it. I love the character from Clone Wars and Rebels so I would love to see her. There's a lot of history with those two [Bo-Katan and Ahsoka]. There's a lot of story there. There's a lot of comradery and respect, but there's also a lot of pain and distrust."

Moreover, Sackhoff acknowledged the theories surrounding the Darksaber, teasing fans that they "have to wait and see" for the mystery to unravel during Season 2:

"There are a lot of theories there! But there is a story there, and we will find out [about Darksaber etc]. I would hate to ruin it for everyone. You'll just have to wait and see. As a fan of the show, I hate spoilers. That is the thing that kept me really good on social media, I didn't want to ruin it for anyone. There is teasing something and then there is ruining it for people. And I really wanted to make sure I kept it exciting for them and live that moment for the first time when they see her, and have it be everything they wanted it to be for 15 years."

WHAT THIS MEANS

It's quite impressive that Katee Sackhoff managed to keep her live-action Star Wars debut a big secret, and the actress' sentiments proved that the excitement of fans is her utmost priority. Given that, Sackhoff's clear-cut denial of Rosario Dawson's inclusion as Ahsoka Tano should not worry fans, since this might be the actress' way of holding off on a massive spoiler. This is on top of the previously-leaked confirmation that Dawson is playing Ahsoka straight from Disney+'s official social media page.

Dawson's casting as Ahsoka has been the subject of headlines in the past months, with some fans even speculating that she will ultimately appear in the fifth episode of Season 2. Considering Sackhoff's statement about "not ruining" a spoiler for fans, it isn't surprising that Sackhoff played coy about Dawson's involvement.

Meanwhile, the actress' comments about the Darksaber is an interesting tidbit, since it potentially hints that a flashback will be featured to help fans understand how Moff Gideon was able to get the iconic weapon from Bo-Katan. This essentially confirms that fans will see more of Bo-Katan as the season progresses, adding more hype to the highly-successful Disney+ series.

Whatever the case, Bo-Katan will surely be a key piece for The Mandalorian moving forward, and her inclusion presents a lot of interesting story possibilities.
