The Star Wars franchise will look to expand its grasp in gaming by introducing a new game in the form of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge. Developed by ILMxLab and Lucasfilm, the virtual reality game is poised to give a whole new experience to longtime fans while also introducing a brand new wave of captivating characters along the way.

Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is closely tied to Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge attraction, with the game serving as a medium to further expand the lore that the theme park ride already established. In addition, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge will immerse gamers into the planet of Batuu, and it has been confirmed that a stockpile of familiar characters from the franchise will also make appearances throughout the adventure.

And now, a new glimpse at the virtual reality offering of Star Wars has surfaced.

WHAT THIS MEANS

From the get-go, the trailer showcases hard-hitting action while providing fans a preview of the world of Batuu in its virtual reality setting. Of course, a Star Wars experience would not be complete without the presence of droids and otherworldly creatures, and the trailer promises that there will be tons of that as the adventure progresses.

The trailer also features a glimpse of how certain missions will be played. From assembling a broken droid to picking up ingredients for a specific recipe, it seems that gamers will experience more than heavy action while playing Tales from the Galaxy's Edge.

On top of that, the trailer also highlights the Black Spire Outpost, a location in the realm of Galaxy's Edge, and it shows off familiar characters from the franchise such as R2D2, C3PO, and even Master Yoda. The addition of Yoda is an exciting one for fans since it provides them a chance to wield a lightsaber to combat enemies.

All in all, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge promises an exciting experience for fans of the galaxy far, far away.
