Spider-Man: No Way Home is shaping up to be an adventure with massive Multiversal stakes, but marketing proved that Peter Parker and MJ's relationship will still be at its core.

Directed by Jon Watts, the upcoming MCU threequel will feature the return of Tom Holland's web-slinging hero alongside his romantic on-screen partner, Zendaya's MJ. The pair's bond was first teased during Spider-Man: Homecoming and later blossomed in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Far From Home ended on a surprising note for the romantic pair, with Peter's Spider-Man secret being revealed to the world. As a result, Peter and MJ didn't have enough time to recover, mainly because the debacle happened while they were in the streets of New York City.

No Way Home's promotional drive has shown how Peter and MJ are dealing with this newfound problem, with some snippets of Zendaya's MCU character even helping the web-slinger during intense battle scenes.

Now, new footage of the pair has been released ahead of the film's December premiere.

Is this Peter Parker & MJ's Last MCU Adventure?

This latest TV spot suggests that Holland's Peter and Zendaya's MJ are set to embark on an emotional adventure in No Way Home

After a series of hilarious banter during Homecoming and Far From Home between the pair, the threequel seems poised to feature a more mature take on Peter and MJ's relationship. This makes narrative sense, especially given the high stakes in the movie.

Marketing appears to confirm that Peter and MJ will be together, alongside Ned, throughout the movie. That said, it looks like No Way Home is setting up the trio's last adventure together.

A previous rumor stated that Peter is set to lose a loved one in the film, and it's possible that MJ or Ned could be one of them. Many would agree that it would be heartbreaking to witness any of Peter's friends and family die, but it could be necessary in order to further develop his heroic self.

MJ's support for Peter is expected to be present throughout the movie, and this would allow the pair to explore their relationship on a whole new level.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to premiere in theaters on December 17, 2021.
