The anticipation surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home is sky high, especially after the premiere of its second and presumably final trailer.

Set after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the film follows the story of Tom Holland's Peter Parker as he tries to adjust to a new life since his secret identity as Spider-Man was ultimately revealed to the rest of the world.

Peter seeks the help of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange to erase the memories of his secret from the rest of the world. However, the spell doesn't go as planned, resulting in the Multiverse being unleashed.

After the first trailer confirmed Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, the latest footage showed more non-MCU villains like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx's Electro, Thomas Hayden Church's Sandman, and Rhys Ifans' Lizard.

Clearly, Peter will need help when it comes to defeating these villains, and the trailer appears to show that his two closest friends will lend him much-needed help against Electro.

Zendaya & Ned Help Spider-Man

Spider-Man: No Way Home's second trailer featured the debut of Peter Parker's Black and Gold suit, but by looking closely, it appears that there is a major plot detail in the scene.

As Electro appears to be in shock (literally) in the background, a close-up look at Peter's new suit shows MJ and Ned on what appears to be a phone screen:

When watching the trailer in motion, MJ and Ned are both moving, indicating that they may be helping Peter to defeat Electro through video chat:

In a previous shot, MJ and Ned can be seen with Peter in Doctor Strange's basement, wearing the same clothes they are in on the phone screen. It's unknown when this scene takes place in relation to the Electro battle.

The Main Trio's One Last MCU Adventure?

A good chunk of Spider-Man: No Way Home's second trailer showcased the bond between Peter Parker, MJ, and Ned, likely suggesting that this will be the trio's last adventure together in the MCU.

This speculation was further amplified by a previous rumor stating that Peter would lose a loved one in the threequel, seemingly hinting that MJ and Ned could bite the dust in the movie. If it is indeed their last hurrah, then this scene could prove to be pivotal to the overall narrative.

Based on what's been revealed, it seems that Strange will ask Peter to track down the villains who entered the MCU. After potentially nabbing Doctor Octopus, the team's attention will then shift to Jamie Foxx's Electro.

The Black and Gold suit could be created with Strange's magic, as evidenced by the glowing source of power that resembles the Sorcerer's mystical energy. It's possible that the cellphone will be attached to the suit to allow Ned and MJ to assist Peter during his eventual battle against Electro.

It is unknown why the cellphone is attached to the costume, but it's reasonable to assume that Ned and MJ are going all-out in helping Peter stop the villains from the Multiverse. It's also safe to say that Peter decided to keep his friends away from the fight, but the pair would have insisted on helping, explaining why they were virtually present.

There's a chance that Strange has a database of the villains from the Multiversal prison, meaning that there will be information on how Electro died in his universe. Given that Peter is against the idea of killing villains, Ned and MJ may secretly sneak behind Strange's back to find out Electro's weakness, thus relaying the information to Peter via a cellphone instead.

Whatever the case, No Way Home seems poised to be a thrilling outing for the web-slinging hero, and this moment from the trailer is the latest evidence of that claim.
