Marvel Studios may have four more full releases planned along with six more episodes of What If...?, but almost all eyes are currently glued to the promotional run for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Thanks to the film's first full trailer that released recently at CinemaCon, fans have three minutes of footage and story information to dissect down to the frame.

The story details that are currently front-and-center focus on the first uses of the multiverse, which will be the gateway for multiple past Spidey villains to come into the MCU after Doctor Strange's spell goes awry. With formidable foes like Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin now on the loose in Tom Holland's universe, the MCU is set for some of its wildest storytelling to date.

On top of all this madness, Peter still has his identity crisis courtesy of Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio from the end of 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. This is once again confirmed to play a key role in the movie's plot thanks to the latest round of merchandising material.

STRANGE AND JAMESON IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Amazon released images and promotional art for two Marvel Legends action figures of J.K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

These two figures will be available on February 1, 2022.

TWO KEY PLAYERS IN THE MCU THREEQUEL

Both Doctor Strange and J. Jonah Jameson will play important roles alongside the web-slinger and his villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and these action figures confirm that they will be players to watch out for.

The imagery of Jameson appears to be directly from the end of his Daily Bugle video in the last movie in the Infinity Saga, which will see different iterations blasting all over Times Square as seen in the movie's first trailer. Whether Spidey will come face-to-face with his worst critic is a mystery, but it's becoming clear that fans will hear and see plenty of J.K. Simmons in one of his most memorable roles.

As for the Doctor Strange figure, this image doesn't reveal anything particularly new, although it does help reinforce just how key his role in No Way Home will be alongside Peter Parker. After fighting alongside each other in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, fans are looking forward to seeing the two interact again outside of Strange casting the spell for Peter from the trailer.

Over the coming weeks and months, fans will be paying close attention to figures like these and if they reveal any key information about the plot or characters in No Way Home. Regardless, fans are still busy dissecting every moment of the first trailer now that official footage from the film is available to the public.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will debut in theaters on December 17, 2021.
