Later this year, Marvel Studios will add to its cache of six Disney+ shows currently on the service when Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk begins its run within the MCU. With this being the first return to a Hulk-centric project since 2008's The Incredible HulkShe-Hulk will add a new kind of story to everything that's come from Marvel Studios since Phase 4 began.

This 10-episode series will be Maslany's first appearance as Jennifer Walters as she showcases her skills as one of Marvel's preeminent lawyers, which is on top of her massive size and strength as She-Hulk. Maslany will have a top-notch supporting cast as well, which even features two MCU veterans in Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Tim Roth's Emil Blonsky.

Although there still is barely any information out to the public regarding She-Hulk, the show's cast and crew have shared how much fun it was to work on and how excited fans should be about what's coming. This includes hype surrounding the show's leading actress in Maslany, more of which just came from one of her biggest co-stars.

She-Hulk star Tim Roth spoke with ET Canada about what to expect from his second third appearance in the MCU.

When asked if his family will watch the show, Roth admitted that he wasn't sure if that would happen. He looked back at how fun and "absurd" it was to film the series and called it "quite the wild ride," but that he will have to find out the answer to that question when the show arrives:

"No, I don’t know if my family won’t watch it. I don’t know it’s a tricky one it was so it was a lot of fun and so it is tempting to dip in and go ‘oh god I remember that day that’s absurd.’ um it’s quite the wild ride but I don’t know I’ll face that when I come to it I suppose I don’t know."

Roth also looked back to his time working with Tatiana Maslany, saying that she was "amazing" and describing her performance as "jaw-dropping." He specifically gave her props for her "comedic touch" and her ability to perform and adjust on a day-to-day basis:

"She’s amazing. It’s actually jaw-dropping. Yeah, you know what, just watching it just on a day-to-day level, and sometimes a dialogue lands, just on that level, and her ability to absorb and then perform was quite remarkable. And she’s funny. One of the signs of a good actor is their comedic touch and she has it."

She-Hulk Star Excelling in MCU Debut

Over the past year, Marvel Studios has brought in an incredible rookie class to add new and exciting roles on top of everything that came in the Infinity Saga. While it started off with supporting roles like Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau in WandaVision and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, new actors are starting to take more prominent roles in Disney+ projects as well (see Oscar Isaac in Moon Knight).

Now, as Maslany joins the ranks of the MCU's newcomers in the streaming world, Roth sees something special coming from her performance as the franchise's giant green lawyer.

Considering that She-Hulk dives into comedy even more than other Marvel projects, hearing Roth gush over Maslany's comedic timing should only have fans looking forward to the show even more. With less than 30 seconds of footage from the series out to the public, there is still plenty of Maslany's material left to wait for, but Roth's comments indicate that the MCU has yet another great addition to the story.

Roth now waits for a timing update on his second Phase 4 project after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, with no signs pointing to when She-Hulk may debut on Disney+. With Moon Knight ending in early May and Ms. Marvel running until mid-July, the series likely won't premiere for a few more months, leaving fans with plenty of mysteries left to be solved.

She-Hulk will begin streaming on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
