Although 2022 is bringing as many as 13 new MCU projects to theaters and Disney+, there's almost nothing like the adventure coming in Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk.
Exploring the legacy of the Incredible Hulk in detail for the first time since 2008, the Disney+ series will introduce one of Marvel Comics' most unique heroines in Jennifer Walters. With the opportunity to break the fourth wall in a show that will be told as a half-hour legal comedy, one of Marvel's preeminent lawyers will have the chance to shine in a world that will see a new round of chaos upon her arrival.
Filming is nearing an end for this exciting new MCU entry, although there are still no specific details on the story that She-Hulk will add to the ever-expanding larger narrative.
Yet another example of this excitement comes on social media with one of the show's stars offering major praise for its leading actress.
GINGER GONZAGA NOT HOLDING BACK
She-Hulk star Ginger Gonzaga took to Twitter to offer a pair of updates on her experience filming the show for Marvel Studios.
Gonzaga expressed her excitement for fans to see the show while praising her castmates, specifically leading actress Tatiana Maslany, saying "nobody could play She-Hulk" as well as her:
Nobody could play She Hulk as wonderfully as #TatianaMaslany. She’s truly a #Marvel. I can’t wait for everyone to see her crush it...or SMASH it...or Whichever is preferred by the Hulk family. so lucky to have her, in addition to the rest of our dope cast! Thanks @Marvel!
She also added a more humorous post after her praise for Maslany while sharing a crudely edited photo of Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2:
MASLANY SMASHING IT ON SET
Gonzaga is already showing off her top-notch sense of humor with the Baby Groot image, although it seems extremely unlikely that the Guardian of the Galaxy will play a role in this new Disney+ series. That possibility aside, her enthusiasm seems to be the latest round of positivity coming from the set of her first MCU adventure.
Maslany received plenty of critical acclaim and accolades for her multi-character performance in Orphan Black, a role that has bumped up fans' excitement level for the actress' MCU debut. An early set photo has shown her embodying the role well already, albeit in only human form thus far, and her comedic skills are sure to be a welcome addition to Marvel Studios' growing story.
With no word regarding who Gonzaga is playing and a lack of specific plot details for She-Hulk as a whole, fans are paying close attention to every small leak or report like this coming from the set of the series. With five new MCU entries still remaining to premiere in 2021, the Maslany-led show will likely remain a mystery for some time, but the hope is that its rumored early 2022 release will mean more information is on the way soon.
She-Hulk is set to debut on Disney+ in 2022.
