Marvel Studios is deep into production on various new properties releasing in 2022 and 2023. Among these is the Disney+ series Secret Invasion, one of the most highly-anticipated adaptations from Marvel Comics. Bringing back MCU regulars like Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill alongside Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, this series will put everything fans know about the MCU into question, as imposters are potentially lurking everywhere.
More so than almost any of its Disney+ counterparts, the secrets from Secret Invasion's story and imagery have remained very hidden. The only official look at the streaming series came from Disney+ Day 2021 in the form of a short video of a grizzled and battle-weary Nick Fury. Since then, set images from the UK have shown off multiple major players in the show, even though no plot details were teased or confirmed.
Along with the first look at Talos and Fury rocking a new style, further set photos revealed Smulders' latest appearance as the high-ranking SHIELD official. Now, more imagery teases new battles for Maria Hill as she finds herself working with and against the Skrulls for the first time in Phase 4.
Maria Hill Action in Secret Invasion
Twitter user @SInvasionNews shared a set photo of Cobie Smulders in her role as Maria Hill from Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion. The photo shows Smulders having her make-up touched up, which includes a significant gash across her nose.

Hill Set for Next MCU Battle
Cobie Smulders has had her fair share of action in the MCU with appearances in all four Avengers movies along with 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. Although the main focus in Secret Invasion will be Nick Fury and Talos as they take on rogue Skrulls, Maria Hill will have the chance to hold her own in the upcoming battle as well.
It's unclear how big of a role Hill will play in the six-episode series, but there's a chance that she could see more screen time here than in any of her past MCU movies. Other set pictures also teased some of her injuries as she interacted with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke's mysterious character, and it seems evident that she will have to take on some battles herself.
With Secret Invasion likely not coming to Disney+ this year, it may be some time until more information is revealed about what Hill will be doing alongside her SHIELD and Skrull companions.
Secret Invasion is currently filming and is rumored to debut on Disney+ in 2023.
