Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally moving along, and the next pit stop after the already-successful WandaVision is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . After the Elizabeth Olsen-led project introduced a bizarre sitcom world combined with magical infused-elements , the upcoming MCU series will take on a more grounded approach as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes try to adjust to a world without Captain America (initially).

The pair is expected to be involved in a globetrotting adventure, and they will be touted against a dangerous enemy in the form of the returning Baron Zemo . Not only that, but a slew of new villains will also cause trouble for the duo such as the group known as The Flag Smashers and the government-sanctioned Captain America, John Walker a.k.a. U.S. Agent.

Despite this, plot details are still being kept under wraps, yet it's all but confirmed that the series will be action-packed. Now, as the show's debut inches closer, a new wave of promotional material has emerged.

THE MAIN CAST OF THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER TAKES THE SPOTLIGHT

Ahead of its much-anticipated premiere, Marvel Studios officially released four new character posters for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson shines in this newly-revealed poster for the upcoming MCU series.

A THRILLING LOOK AT THE MCU SERIES

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be infused with the combined elements of action and humor that the MCU is best known for, and it will be interesting to find out how it will play out through the lens of the four characters above. Based on what's been revealed through the show's marketing, the dynamic between Sam and Bucky will be pushed to the forefront in the show, and the inclusion of Sharon and Zemo should challenge the partnership of the two Avengers.

One of the anticipated reveals for the series is the updated design of the characters for the MCU's new chapter, and this latest batch of posters no doubt provides a detailed look at the costumes.

Anthony Mackie previously teased that Falcon's suit will receive a bunch of upgrades, with the actor even admitting that the character is more “Tony Starkerized” than before. Given that, this poster shows a hint of the technological upgrades of the costume, and it essentially prompts more questions regarding the source of the hero's new toys.

Meanwhile, the new Wakandan arm of Bucky is the clear focus of the poster, and this could be a major tease that this latest piece of armor will be integral to the show's main narrative.

Sharon Carter's on-the-run status will be a key component of the character's arc, and her disguise in the poster resembles this specific storyline. If anything, it's going to be exciting to witness the former SHIELD/FBI agent's journey in the show.

After a game-changing debut in Captain America: Civil War, Baron Zemo's return to the MCU via this series will be a must-see. At this point, it's been made clear that he is one of the main villains of the show, but there have been a few clues from different teasers that he will not start off as antagonistic as expected.

If this is the case, the master plan of Zemo will no doubt become the subject of fan theories, similar to how WandaVision created social media buzz about exploring the identity of its real villain.

All in all, this latest batch of posters should drum up excitement for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
