Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now in full swing with WandaVision leading the charge. However, the Elizabeth Olsen-led show wasn't originally the first project in the post-Endgame MCU. Instead, the responsibility was supposed to be helmed by The Falcon and The Winter Soldierbut plans ultimately changed due to the ongoing health crisis

After the reshuffling, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now set to premiere on March 19, 2021, officially serving as the franchise's second title in their ambitious Disney+ slate. The series will see the return of Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as the titular characters, with the duo working together to stop a global conspiracy

Given that the show's premiere is next month, the marketing is expected to ramp up. The first trailer already debuted during Disney Investor Day, giving fans a preview of what's to come for Sam and Bucky this time around. Now, an in-depth look at some core characters of the Disney+ series has been revealed.

BARON ZEMO'S MCU FUTURE

No doubt, these promotional images should add more hype to the much-awaited release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier this March. Sam and Bucky's new suits have been the main highlight of the trailer and posters for the show, but the additional details that are featured in these images definitely show more of the impressive character design of the two MCU heroes.

There were only short glimpses of John Walker in the official marketing materials for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but it is expected that he will play a major role in the overarching narrative of the show. Based on this reveal, it's safe to say that the government is hellbent on replacing Steve Rogers as Captain America, and Walker is their prime candidate.

It seems that Sam and Bucky will not be pleased with this development, and it will be interesting to find out how the pair will resolve this lingering issue to preserve the legacy of their friend.

One of the anticipated MCU returns that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will showcase is Baron Zemo. Ever since the character's debut during 2016's Captain America: Civil War, fans have been curious if Marvel Studios will incorporate the character's look from the comics. This new reveal should please those who have patiently waited for Zemo's transformation.

Aside from several leaked merchandise and set photos, there was no official preview of the full-body character design of Zemo for the upcoming MCU show. After months of waiting, this latest piece of merchandise provides a sinister look at Zemo's Phase 4 look. Not much is known if this will be the last hurrah of Zemo in the MCU, but there's a good chance that the villain will continue to play an integral part in the MCU moving forward.

From successfully dismantling the Avengers during Civil War, the next big plan of Zemo will be a must-see, and this could prove to be a challenge even for the combined might of Sam and Bucky. Whatever the case, all will be revealed when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts next month.
