Tom Hiddleston's Loki: Rumor Points To Season 2 Filming Starting Soon

Loki, Disney+, United Kingdom

Deadline reported in January that writer Michael Waldron would be involved in the second season of Marvel Studios' Loki series “in some capacity.” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige later confirmed that certain Disney+ series would receive more seasons, indicating that Loki may not be a limited series like WandaVision.

Loki is on track to be the most anticipated and popular streaming show on Disney+ as well. It has six episodes planned, not to mention a concept that is ripe for multiple seasons.

So, it wouldn't be surprising that Loki would get a second season. A new report could point to production for this second season of Loki moving forward.

MORE SHOOTING FOR LOKI

According to The Ronin, Marvel Studios is expected to do more shooting for Loki in the United Kingdom in the “near future.”

The outlet could not determine if filming would be for reshoots for the first season, post-credit scenes, or if production for the second season is moving from Atlanta to London.

MOVING PRODUCTION TO UNITED KINGDOM

It wouldn't be too unbelievable for Marvel Studios to move production for Loki to the United Kingdom since it plans on shooting other Disney+ series in the country, like Moon Knight and Secret Invasion. The former may currently be planning on filming in Hungary, but production for Moon Knight will likely be using the U.K. as a base of operations.

This is not to mention that Tom Hiddleston currently lives in London, which would make shooting more seasons of Loki far easier. Film productions are becoming more common for Marvel Studios in the U.K., like Captain Marvel 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,

Loki is currently scheduled to release on Disney+ on June 11, 2021.
