Marvel Studios is less than two weeks away from returning from its longest gap in content in over a decade. January 15 will end the break as the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally kicks off the highly anticipated Phase 4 with WandaVision on Disney+.
This series will begin an incredible run for the MCU, where nearly every week of 2021 is filled with new content, whether it be a new Disney+ episode or a theatrical movie event. For WandaVision specifically, however, the exact number of episodes has been a bit of a mystery.
Reports have noted that WandaVision will run for eight weeks, but that it will have either eight or nine full episodes. Confirmation has just arrived for that number, which should have MCU fans giddy for the show to begin next week.

Disney's official press release for Marvel Studios' WandaVision on Dinsey+ reveals that the MCU's debut mini-series will have nine episodes in its first season. The release reads as follows:
"Featuring nine episodes, “WandaVision” kicks off on Disney+ on January 15, 2021"
WHAT THIS MEANS
Rumors from Murphy's Multiverse have pointed to WandaVision having as many as nine episodes going back as far as the summer of 2020, and it should amp up the excitement knowing that this is now confirmed to be true.
This will also be interesting to see how it fits in with the recent news that the show will run premieres on Disney+ from January 15 to March 5. It seems like the first week will include a double-length episode or two episodes dropping at the same time, which should be quite the extra treat considering the MCU hasn't released any new content since Spider-Man: Far From Home in July 2019.
WandaVision is confirmed to be utilizing at least six different eras of network TV history through its plot, and rumors have pointed to this happening in the first six episodes before the last three bring the classic MCU epic adventure. Marvel Studios and Disney clearly understand how frustrating this wait has been for fans the past year and a half, and by making WandaVision the first new Disney+ series for Marvel, the team is confident that the show will bring the MCU back the way it deserves.
WandaVision will begin streaming on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
