Marvel Studios is approaching the end of Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye series on Disney+, which is expanding the MCU's narrative in various ways. From delivering Hailee Steinfeld as a full-fledged Kate Bishop to teasing a potential comeback for Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, all on top of the promise of Yelena Belova returning from Black Widow, the series is jam-packed with thrills.

Thus far, the series' first four episodes have largely focused on Clint's mission to figure out what the deal is behind the Tracksuit Mafia while also trying to keep Kate out of trouble on her first real mission. While this group of mobsters is front and center behind their leader, Alaqua Cox's Echo, a much bigger threat still lurks in the shadows that could put Clint in even more danger.

Of course, while the original Avenger has dealt with bigger threats in past movies, like the Mad Titan Thanos and even his own Avengers teammates, the quantity of threats in Hawkeye makes for a formidable challenge.

In the latest promo ad for the season's last two episodes, one of those threats makes it clear that he's in a world of trouble.

Marvel Studios released a new 30-second promo featuring footage from Hawkeye on Disney+. This footage provides new clips of Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova after she made her debut in the closing moments of Episode 4, including her first upcoming line of dialogue.

After catching a bottle coming toward her face, Yelena quickly tilts her head and simply says, "Hi" with a smile.

Yelena is seen suited up in her White Widow outfit, which both she and Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff utilized in 2021's Black Widow. She even appears to have a new vest after giving her old one to Nat prior to Avengers: Infinity War.

Yelena walks down a set of stairs in her Widow outfit, although it's unclear whose house these stairs are in.

Yelena takes down the resident of this house, although the ad hides her identity. It's unclear how big of a role this will play in Episodes 5 and 6 or whether it takes place in the present day or in a flashback.

It's also a mystery if this woman Yelena's taking down has any connection to Clint Barton or Natasha Romanoff, both of whom Yelena is focused on in her current mission.

Yelena comes face-to-face with Clint at the Rockefeller center at the end of the ad, which features her saying "I'm here to kill you, Clint Barton" shortly before the shot of the two characters appears.

Yelena Makes Her Mission Clear to Hawkeye

Without uttering a single line of dialogue in her Disney+ debut, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova made her mark on Episode 4 of Hawkeye as she went after Clint Barton with a vengeance. Not even revealing her face to the camera until that battle's final seconds as she stopped Kate Bishop from shooting at her, Yelena put everyone involved on notice that she's not going anywhere any time soon.

Following up from the post-credits scene in Black Widow, Yelena's mission to take Hawkeye down for allegedly killing Natasha was bound to play a major role in the series, even amongst the Tracksuits and other threats. This ad expands mightily on that storyline, and after she escaped the rooftop in Episode 4, Clint seemed well aware of what he was up against.

With Yelena in her white costume from Black Widow, the next episode could feature some flashback moments from either the five-year gap before Avengers: Endgame or between the end of Black Widow and this series. Considering how adamant Clint is about staying off the radar, Yelena's mission to find him will be a tough one, which Marvel could show through the penultimate episode of the series.

The big question now is if and when Clint will get the chance to actually set Yelena straight on what happened on Vormir in Endgame, which has haunted him on multiple occasions in the first four episodes. Telling Nat's Black Widow sister the truth could help him move closer to having closure on her death, particularly since there is a bigger threat that's waiting to reveal itself.

Episode 5 of Hawkeye will premiere on Disney+ on December 15, 2021.
