After taking a week off from in-universe content, the MCU will be back in action next Friday with the anticipated release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes are about to team up on a wild ride, quickly bringing a new level of hype back to MCU fans worldwide.

Continuing from the end of the Infinity Saga, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will pick up after the events of Avengers: Endgame , in which Chris Evans' Steve Rogers passed the torch and mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson. As Sam takes on this new responsibility , he will also embrace a new partnership with the recovering Bucky Barnes, reluctantly at first, it seems.

In preparation for the MCU's second Phase 4 property, new promotional images have been released to keep this story at the forefront of the entertainment industry.

Empire released two new promotional images in the form of magazine covers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier before its upcoming release on Disney+ on March 19, 2021. Both images can be seen below.

Above is one of Empire 's two covers released for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan look just as cool as ever posing it up for the camera.

The second Empire cover for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier shows Bucky standing behind an outline of the Captain America shield design with Sam above him, wings spread wide.

As is always the case with this kind of promo work, Mackie and Stan look absolutely immaculate as they prepare for their first headlining appearances in the MCU. The images obviously don't showcase a lot in the action department, but both of their costumes look spotless as the actors gear up for the series' press tour.

Especially in the first image, Bucky's vibranium arm is shown off in all its glory , with fans hoping the Winter Solider will flaunt more of its capabilities in the show. Sam's wings are also displayed in full with a red and blue overlay, teasing his upcoming journey as he struggles with the Captain America mantle.

With very few plot details known for this MCU series at the moment, fans are already theorizing some of the crazy situations that Sam and Bucky will find themselves in. It will also be fantastic to see so much more depth given to both of these heroes, with nearly six hours of screen time dedicated to telling their story in a new post-Blip world.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney+ on March 19, 2021.
