Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam is finally coming, and it's now less than a year away. The film has been the actor's passion project for a long time, and it's probably a dream come true for him to finally don that costume.
Johnson won't be alone when his character hits the screen. Alongside him, the Justice Society of America will make its big-screen debut. The members of the team include Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Pierce Bronson's Dr. Fate, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone.
Warner Bros. is gearing up for its big annual event, DC FanDome, which is now only just over a week away. The big presentation will give fans new looks at a plethora of upcoming DC projects, including Peacemaker, The Batman, Black Adam, and The Flash—among many others.
A new trailer for the event has been released, and in it, fans can have a brief new look at the ruler of Kahndaq himself.
New Footage of Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam & Cyclone
A brand-new teaser for DC's upcoming event, DC FanDome, has been released, and within it are the briefest glimpses of Black Adam.
One of the shots includes a look at Dwayne Johnson's titular character, which sees the character ominously staring at something off-screen.
The second shot that fans can see shows the crew filming the movie, with the slate front and center.
Just behind the slate, fans may also notice their first look at Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone, one of the JSA members in the film.
The full teaser can be seen below:
Black Adam & the JSA are Coming
While the new shots seen in the trailer are minuscule for sure, it's still something; they are the smallest of tastes of what will be revealed next week.
Taking a stab at what fans might be looking at, could that brief glimpse of Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam be when the character is first introduced? It gives off an unpleasantly awake vibe. As for Cyclone, well, the screenshot definitely confirms she's in the film—and that's about all. There seems to be something on display in front of her, but there is no telling what it is.
Hopefully, Warner Bros. will see fit to release a full trailer for the film. After all, it has teased the film so much, it would be odd to not simply give the world a proper tease. Though, from the looks of those screenshots, fans may only get a behind-the-scenes video.
The movie wrapped production quite some time ago, so a good amount of footage for the movie must be done at this point. That said, even if Warner Bros. only shows off some behind-the-scenes bits, fans will surely eat it up and the hype train will gain even more steam; it is The Rock's first superhero gig, so how could someone not be excited?
Black Adam will be hitting theaters worldwide on July 29, 2022.
