Captain America: The First Avenger introduced fans to Chris Evans' MCU hero, laying the groundwork for the franchise's Star-Spangled Avenger. The Marvel film is a significant entry in the franchise as it featured Steve Rogers' origin story while also introducing key characters such as Peggy Carter, Bucky Barnes, and the Red Skull.

The First Avenger served as a notable addition to the MCU since the film delivered many memorable moments that are still being referenced in the post-Infinity Saga chapter. Crossover movies such as The Avengers and Avengers: Endgame featured major Easter eggs from the Chris Evans-led solo movie, while many would agree that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier wouldn't be possible without it.

The film previously commemorated its 10-year anniversary in 2021, but it seems that the celebration is far from over based on a new Marvel collectible.

Funko Highlights the First Avenger

Funko, via Entertainment Earth, officially released a brand new Pop! figure for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, showcasing a fresh look at Chris Evans' Steve Rogers.

The collectible shows Rogers holding his prototype vibranium shield from Captain America: The First Avenger, with the iconic weapon filled with several bullet marks:

In the 2011 MCU film, Howard Stark gave Rogers the prototype vibranium shield that would later become Captain America's weapon. Before being transformed with its Star-Spangled design, Rogers asked Peggy Carter's opinion about the shield. However, Peggy grabs a pistol to fire three bullets at Steve due to being jealous of Cap's earlier encounter with another woman.

Fans will get the chance to celebrate that moment by purchasing this Funko:

A Celebration of Captain America's MCU Legacy

Funkos are best known for movie-accurate depictions of franchises in vinyl figures, and this new collectible is proof of that.

This latest Captain America figure offers a detailed look at Chris Evans' MCU hero even before he transitions into a Star-Spangled Avenger. This also marks the first time that a Funko features Steve in his soldier uniform alongside the character's prototype vibranium shield, proving to be a valuable purchase for toy collectors everywhere.

The scene of Steve being shot at by Peggy is a defining moment for the pair's relationship as it cements the latter's feelings toward the former.  MCU fans will now get the chance to relive that moment in Funko form as this vinyl figure serves as a fitting reminder of a significant part of Steve Rogers' story during the Infinity Saga.

Given that Evans is still unsure if he will return as Captain America in the future, this new Funko still celebrates the character's legacy in a unique fashion while still reminding fans of the Star-Spangled Avenger's romance storyline, which anchored a good chunk of his MCU history.
