The Flash is set to bring the multiverse into the forefront of the DCEU, merging previous and current iterations of characters from alternate realities. Directed by Andy Muschietti, the film will showcase the famous Flashpoint storyline arc from the comics which will see Barry Allen running back in time to save his mother from dying.

The DCEU entry will mark the return of Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster alongside Kiersey Clemons' Iris West and Ron Livingston's Henry Allen. The trio will be joined by Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, with the pair reprising their respective Batman roles from DC's vast multiverse

The return of Keaton's version of The Dark Knight is highly anticipated, especially after his stunning performance as the DC hero in Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns. Still, the actor's role in the film's narrative is still shrouded in mystery.

Now, a new image may shed some light on how Keaton's Batman will be portrayed in The Flash

A FRESH LOOK AT A CLASSIC BATMAN SUIT

The Flash director Andy Muschietti shared a bloody look at Michael Keaton's Batman suit from Tim Burton's Batman movies.

The Flash will finally showcase what happened to Michael Keaton's Batman after Batman Returns, and this new image could hint at two possibilities.

For starters, this image of the Batsuit could potentially tease a darker turn for Keaton's Dark Knight, with the blood signifying that the hero resorted to brutal ways since his last movie appearance.

This is in line with the arc of Thomas Wayne's Caped Crusader from the Flashpoint storyline from the comics. For context, Thomas is a far more ruthless Batman who is all-out in killing criminals.

On a separate note, this bloody image could be a hint of a grim future for Keaton's Batman. This could tease the end of the DC hero, with the blood alluding to his death at the tail-end of The Flash

Regardless, Keaton's return is definitely a welcome sight for fans, and all will be revealed when The Flash premieres in theaters on November 4, 2022.
