Spider-Man: No Way Home featured the memorable returns of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men, with both heroes swinging into action alongside Tom Holland's titular web-slinger. Garfield and Maguire's Marvel comebacks have long been the subject of leaks and rumors in the months leading to the threequel's premiere, which were eventually confirmed.

As No Way Home is now on the verge of ending its theatrical run, the next question from fans is the potential future of Garfield and Maguire's respective universe. Aside from online campaigns to revive hopes for Spider-Man 4 and The Amazing Spider-Man 3, Sony Pictures has yet to reveal any concrete plans for the two iconic Marvel heroes.

While fans wait for more updates about potential movie plans, news about Garfield and Maguire's bond behind the scenes has started to make headlines.

In a report, Variety shared that Tobey Maguire served as Andrew Garfield's guest at a recent screening of Everything Everywhere All at Once at CAA's Los Angeles offices.

An eyewitness told Variety's Marc Malkin what transpired before the screening, revealing that Andrew and Tobey "embraced and went in to watch the movie together:"

“Andrew was waiting in the lobby, and then Tobey showed up, and they embraced and went in to watch the movie together. It was very cute."

On a separate note, Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield spoke with Entertainment Tonight (ET) to talk about the future possibility of seeing him in another project with fellow Marvel actor Tobey Maguire, while also touching on the reported screening romance:

Garfield first admitted that he "would love to work with Tobey [Maguire] again," with him praising the actor while telling ET that he just loves him:

“I would love to work with Tobey again. I mean like, he’s such a great actor and he’s a good buddy and I really just love him. I love spending time with him."

The Amazing Spider-Man actor then went on to confirm that the pair watched Everything Everywhere All at Once together, describing the experience as "great fun:"

"And yeah we went and saw this incredible film Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is a genius masterpiece of creativity with the incredible Michelle Yeoh and these two incredible directors called the Daniels and everyone will see it and everyone will fall in love with it in the same way that we did and yeah, it was great fun… I love him and I would love to make something with him, for sure.”

Will the Two Spider-Men Return?

Usually, actors involved in films or TV shows end their connection once the project wraps, but there are friendships that are purely solid that end up continuing off-screen. That said, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's bond is a good example.

This isn't the first time that Garfield expressed willingness to work with Maguire again after No Way Home. In a previous interview, Garfield described his relationship with both Maguire and Tom Holland as a "three-brother dynamic" that is "juicy" and shared that he'd love to work with both stars again if given the opportunity.

Garfield also revealed that he and Maguire snuck into a No Way Home screening to watch the threequel with fans, with the actor calling it "a really beautiful thing to share together.

Based on previous rumors, the two stars are reportedly poised to have separate paths at least on-screen. Maguire is rumored to return as his Spider-Man in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness while Garfield admitted that he is unsure about his Marvel future. However, it seems that The Amazing Spider-Man actor is poised to be revealed as the web-slinger of Sony's Spider-Man universe.

Whatever the case, given that the pair spent more time together after that special MCU screening, this could hint that more memorable experiences are bound to happen that could likely lead to potential on-screen appearances as web-crawlers in the future.
