The original plan for the DCEU was envisioned by Zack Snyder, starting off with 2013's Man of Steel . After the successful launch of the Henry Cavill-led film , everyone thought that it was smooth sailing from there. But plans were ultimately derailed during the production of 2017's Justice League , leading to the eventual departure of Snyder from the franchise.
The exit of the visionary director has been well-documented in the past, but the issue became front and center once more due to the impending arrival of Zack Snyder's Justice League later this year. While a good amount of topics are centered on the film's new scenes and characters like the Joker and Martian Manhunter , several main subjects of discussion are still laser-focused on the tumultuous production history of the 2017 superhero team-up.
Despite that, it's no secret that the continued buzz managed to propel the Snyder Cut in a multitude of ways on social media. Now, a unique marketing strategy for the famed director's cut has been unveiled, providing fans with a one-of-a-kind approach to encounter the highly-talked-about film.
A FULL-BLOWN DC DINING EXPERIENCE
Wonderlands Restaurant , in association with Warner Bros., confirmed the arrival of an upcoming “at home immersive experience” for DC fans that will let them experience Zack Snyder's Justice League in a whole new light.
Set in London's soon-to-open Park Row restaurant, the unique strategy will include a “Mother Box dining experience” which will produce ready-to-make food boxes that will be shipped door-to-door for the convenience of customers.
For context, Park Row was established through a partnership between Wonderland Restaurants, Warner Bros., and DC. The restaurant is being described as the “first fully immersive DC-inspired restaurant experience in the world.”
A good example of Park Row's DC inspiration is the restaurant's interior that mirrors the franchise's famous environments such as Penguin's Iceberg Lounge and an Old Gotham City speakeasy.
Park Row is set to open during Spring 2021 in London, which is seemingly aligned with the rumored release month of Zack Snyder's Justice League .
ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE MARKETING ROLLOUT
As it is, this new marketing approach should serve as an eye-opener even for Snyder Cut diehards, and that's a good thing for many reasons. When the Snyder Cut was officially announced last May, it was clear that it was a game-changer, and this latest development seems to adhere to that title on the marketing side of things.
Part of the fun of this reveal is the grand idea of how a significant MacGuffin from the film (in this case, the Mother Box) will be infused within one's dining experience. The unique take on the matter is pretty fascinating, and it will no doubt dial more hype for the eventual release of Zack Snyder's Justice League this year.
In a previous interview, Snyder laid out the marketing plan for his Justice League , with the director teasing several “cool activations” alongside imminent trailers along the way. At this point, it's quite evident that these Mother Box-themed home meals are a huge part of the aforementioned strategy.
All in all, it will be interesting to find out how HBO Max and Warner Bros. will further maximize the Snyder Cut in terms of the film's promotional campaign.
