This article contains spoilers for "Episode 8" of WandaVision .
The Marvel Cinematic Universe will be forever changed thanks to the mind-blowing reveals from WandaVision . The inaugural MCU Phase 4 offering is entering its final stretch of episodes, which means that certain revelations could directly shake the landscape of the franchise's in-universe storytelling once and for all.
One of the exciting reveals from the latest installment of the hit series was the confirmation that Kathryn Hahn's Agnes was actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch from Marvel Comics. The character's arrival teased a significant shift in the power balance of the MCU, as evidenced by the character's treasure trove of artifacts that are hidden in her secret lair beneath Westview.
The villain's introduction in “Episode 7” was one of the show's memorable scenes, considering that it was done to fit the sitcom approach of the series. Admittedly, Agatha's inclusion will naturally prompt more questions from viewers .
Now, an interesting promotional image has emerged, seemingly hinting that the nefarious plans of the villain will be revealed to Wanda sooner than expected.
AGATHA HARKNESS VS. WANDA MAXIMOFF
The latest piece of WandaVision merchandise from Marvel Entertainment provides a sneak peek of the continued confrontation between Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness and Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff.

A MAGICAL CONFRONTATION
Right away, it seems that “Episode 8” of WandaVision will finally give an explanation of how Agatha became the root cause of the Westview anomaly. Given the secrecy surrounding the MCU series, it's possible that the image above was taken from the early moments of the upcoming chapter, mainly due to the fact that Marvel didn't include a spoiler warning upon its release.
The confrontation between the two characters is hotly anticipated, and it will be interesting to find out how it will all go down. Based on the image above, Wanda's current stance could mean that Agatha induced her with some kind of spell, or this could hint that the Avenger hasn't recovered yet from what the villain did to her at the tail-end of “Breaking the Fourth Wall.”
By doing this, Agatha appears to be familiar with the power set of Wanda since she knows how to take advantage of her. If this is the case, the next episode is poised to give an overview of the MCU history of the two characters, potentially leading to more game-changing reveals down the line.
In Marvel Comics, Agatha served as a mentor for Wanda, helping the Scarlet Witch to harness her hex powers. Now, the live-action dynamic doesn't seem to resemble their comic-book counterparts, but many would agree that another misdirect could happen and lead to another revelation that a different and more powerful entity is behind of the alternate reality shenanigans.
Whatever the case, all will be revealed when “Episode 8" of WandaVision drops on Disney+.
