Cara Dune, Baby Yoda, Mando Season 2 Leak

We're so close.

The highly anticipated second season of The Mandalorian is just around the corner, set to debut with eight new episodes beginning October 30 . Last week, we were treated to new images from the season via Entertainment Weekly , along with various interviews from the creators and cast that have left us scratching our chins .

For months, Star Wars fans have been aching for a new Mando trailer, and with recent word being that one is cut and ready to go , it should be hitting any time now. It turns out that Disney+ is also gearing up for the launch, as there's been a brief leak on the streaming service that's given us another look at the upcoming season...

WHAT THIS MEANS

This was a surprise, to be sure, but a pleasant one. Sometimes Disney can be its own worst enemy, and tonight that worked in Star Wars fans' favor. We've been starved of news and content for months now, so these little wins go a long way.

The images leaked are pretty interesting. The boat is something new that we haven't really seen in Star Wars before, and if Mando and The Child are voyaging with a mysterious crew they must be taking desperate lengths to accomplish whatever their goal is.

When we last saw X-Wings in The Mandalorian , they were blowing up a space station that Mando had betrayed as a result of a betrayal. Seeing them peacefully escorting the Razor Crest is a far cry from that. It's nice to see Greef Karga and Cara Dune again, and the Scout Troopers are undoubtedly pursuing our heroes on behalf of the remnant Empire.

It won't be long until we'll have the episodes in front of us, out there for the world to enjoy. Until then, soak in that picture of Baby Yoda...

This is the way.
