After a successful debut season run, The Mandalorian Season 2 has been following the footsteps of its predecessor by taking the excitement to a whole new level. The self-contained nature of Season 1 was able to hook fans by introducing captivating characters and action-packed story beats, but Season 2 took it up a notch by incorporating several iconic characters from various Star Wars media such as Boba Fett, Ahsoka Tano, and Bo-Katan.

Despite that, there are still lingering mysteries from the previous season that Season 2 needs to address, and one of those is the fate of Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand. The actress appeared during the fifth episode of Season 1 entitled, "The Gunslinger," but her presence was cut short after seemingly being killed off by rookie bounty hunter Toro Calican.

Still, the ending managed to tease that Fennec Shand's involvement is not yet done since an unnamed character was last seen approaching her lifeless body. And now, new evidence may offer hints about the assassin's triumphant return in Season 2.

RUMOR

In the latest episode of Rebel Force Radio, Reddit user Renfred noticed that James Arnold Taylor, the one who voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi in various Star Wars media, appears to confirm that Fennec Shand actress Ming-Na Wen will appear at some point during The Mandalorian Season 2.

The Reddit user pointed out that Taylor mentioned that he was getting a tour with Darth Maul voice actor Sam Witwer on the set of the Star Wars show, and the actor claimed that he saw a scene being shot with Ming-Na Wen and Gina Carano. The set visit happened in the last week of shooting for Season 2.

To further support this evidence, it seems like Rebel Force Radio edited out the portion about the aforementioned set visit after it was initially shared online. In addition, Todd McBain from Twitter also noticed the intriguing tidbit about Wen's involvement with The Mandalorian Season 2.

WHAT THIS MEANS

This new leak appears to align with the previous The Mandalorian rumor from The Hashtag Show which mentioned Wen's inclusion in the sophomore season. While fans can take this evidence with a grain of salt, it would make narrative sense for Ming-Na Wen to return during Season 2 to properly resolve the lingering plot thread from the first season.

Fans have long speculated that the character that was last seen approaching Fennec Shand's lifeless body was Boba Fett. With the iconic bounty hunter's return during "The Marshal," it's entirely possible that Boba Fett was indeed the character who approached Fennec Shand, but details about his motivations are still unknown.

There's a strong chance that Boba Fett somehow saved Shand from an untimely death while also forging an alliance. It's worth mentioning that Shand was pursuing Mando and Baby Yoda during Season 1, and Boba Fett also has unfinished business with Mando, since the latter was able to obtain his armor. Given that, it seems that an imminent showdown pitting Mando against Boba Fett and Shand is likely during the latter part of the season.

Meanwhile, the leak also revealed that Wen had a scene with Gina Carano's Cara Dune, and this potentially confirms that Mando will be joined by the former Rebel Trooper on Tatooine to even the odds. This presents an opportunity for an exciting and action-packed sequence among the aforementioned characters.

Whatever the case, anything can happen in the remaining episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2, and the anticipation is clearly high.
