The wait for the MCU’s return is finally close to being over after 15 months and counting. Phase 4 will ultimately begin as early as Thanksgiving weekend with the premiere of WandaVision on Disney+ , and even though the theatrical releases are still a considerable ways away, there is another new mini-series that is nearing its completion.

As we exclusively reported at the end of August, production for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier restarted in Atlanta with less than a couple weeks of shooting remaining. The shoot was also deep into work overseas in Prague before the shutdown, and today brings news that the team may not be done filming on European soil.

Aaron Toney , Anthony Mackie's stunt double for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, revealed that he is traveling to Prague on a private flight. No reason was confirmed as to what the trip is for, but the assumption is that he and the Marvel team are going back to finish more filming that still needs to be completed.

The release timeframe for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is still very much up in the air, with no official dates for completing production or releasing on Disney+. This is a potentially exciting story though considering the entire production team was settled in Prague filming the show before the worldwide shutdown stopped everything back in March 2020.

Multiple rumors have been released saying that the show had less than two weeks of material remaining to film, and that timeframe is likely even shorter at this point in time. What’s likely happening is that the team is finished or very close to finishing on set in Atlanta , and all that’s left to film is the material in Prague before everything is completed.

Should this prove to be the case, it's only be a matter of time before this exciting new project goes into post-production. Once WandaVision makes its premiere on Disney+ before the end of 2020, the timeframe should be much clearer on when this next series will finally arrive.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is in its final days of filming with an expected release on Disney+ sometime in 2021.
