The world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the richest out there. It is basically modern-day mythology, as is Marvel Comics lore in general. The storytelling potential is nearly endless, and there's always some facet of the experience that anyone can love. If you like period pieces, then there's Captain America: The First Avenger and Peggy Carter. Is a space opera preferable? Sounds like something Guardians of the Galaxy can fix.
People across the globe have an undeniable passion for the world Marvel Studios has put together. The problem? It's all on the other side of the screen in a fictional existence. But what if someone could experience some of those moments in person? See the various costumes and props that hold significant meaning to those engrossed in the story?
Those are all experiences MARVEL AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N. aimed to provide to the fans; a physical exhibit where fans can interact with the MCU in an entirely different way. It's a program that has been going on for eight years now—but it's all finally getting a big Phase 4 upgrade.
New Exhibit for WandaVision and Beyond
The launch of a brand-new Marvel Cinematic Universe experience was just announced: Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.: Evolution.
The original version of this was coined as MARVEL AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N., with the facility having made its debut in New York City in July 2014. The immersive showcase included locations, technology, props, and costumes from across the Infinity Saga for fans to interact with and see in person. The program went on to showcase its exhibit in 25 cities across 13 countries.
Now the entire exhibit has been upgraded to reflect key moments from all four phases of the MCU, including events from WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and more recent projects.
The exhibition consists of seven different segments for attendees to go through and become immersed in the rich world that Marvel Studios has created. The very first EVOLUTION upgraded location will open this Summer in Texas, at the Granscape in The Colony, just north of Downtown Dallas.
Alongside the announcement, Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Cityneon Holdings (an entertainment company) Ron Tan boldly claimed that "this immersive Super Hero experience is going to bigger and better:"
“This immersive Super Hero experience is going to be bigger and better... after impressing global audiences with our award-winning experience, MARVEL AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N., we are confident that we will delight even more visitors with this brand-new, upgraded Super Hero experience, MARVEL AVENGERS STATION: EVOLUTION, coming to our friends in Dallas this summer.”
Explore Marvel's Phase 4
With what AVENGERS STATION is, it's surprising that the facility didn't have an upgrade sooner. One would think the experience would evolve fairly consistently, much like Avengers Campus does with its rotating cast of characters.
But what new elements from Phase 4 might make it in these upgrades? Well, it's probably safe to say that an old sitcom set from WandaVision will undoubtedly be built with a photo-op spot and all. Another surefire bet would be the TVA, a location and concept that begs to make a home at an interactive exhibit.
There are plenty of new costumes that could be shown off as well. From Wanda's new garb to Sam Wilson's vibranium Captain America outfit and even the countless uniforms of the Eternals. Maybe they'll even go as far as lining up the costumes of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland side-by-side.
Hopefully, they avoid putting the Darkhold out there for anyone to read from. With what it seems to be doing to Wanda Maximoff, it's probably best to avoid it altogether, lest one wants to potentially destroy all reality.
Moon Knight is currently streaming on Disney+, while Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6.
