Last year, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker provided an explosive finish to the Skywalker Saga, ultimately capping off the story that started in 1977's A New Hope. While the future storylines of Star Wars films are still unclear, it's safe to say that they will deviate from the core storyline of the previous main saga. Despite that, there have been a plethora of reveals about the culminating chapter of the Skywalker Saga in the previous months.
Part of those reveals are various concept arts that depict different iterations of iconic scenes from the film. On top of that, those visual treats also managed to shed some light on moments that weren't realized on-screen. And now, it seems that another one has been added to the long list of unused concepts from the film.

David Leby, who worked on various concept arts from last year's The Rise of Skywalker, shared several unused pieces of art from the 2019 film that depict the Eye of Webbish Bog. In Star Wars canon, the Eye of Webbish Bog is a spider-like being that hails from Mustafar, which is tasked to guard the Sith wayfinder of Darth Vader.
The first concept art shows Darth Vader face-to-face with the spider-like being that is locked in symbiosis with a blind giant. At first glance, this could presumably be from a flashback scene, further establishing the relationship between the two otherworldly beings.
Another concept art seemingly shows Kylo Ren in an intense face-off with the Eye of Webbish Bog. It's pretty hard to say if Ren is holding the destroyed helmet of Darth Vader, but it actually makes sense if he does. In a way, this could provide Ren a piece of evidence that he is an ally of the Sith, which could give him easy access to the Sith wayfinder.
The third concept art shows a different angle of the intense face-off between Kylo Ren and the Eye of Webbish Bog. If anything, this seemingly hints that the Supreme Leader was going to do whatever it took to obtain the Sith wayfinder (even if it meant fighting a giant).
The last piece of concept art that was revealed is quite similar to the previous one that was shared. However, the lighting in this one provides a different feel of the environment where the Eye of Webbish Bog lives.
The Sith wayfinder is the device that served as the key MacGuffin during The Rise of Skywalker. By finding the wayfinder, the user can eventually track down the location of the Sith's secret homeworld, Exegol. By being an important piece of the film, it's clear that the creatives were hard at work in terms of providing the best way to incorporate it into the storyline.
At some point, it's safe to say that the writers considered Mustafar as one of the locations of the Sith wayfinder. Many would agree that this was a missed opportunity since it would've given Kylo a much different adventure while also diving into his relationship with his grandfather, Darth Vader.
Hopefully, a future Star Wars storyline can give fans a proper look at the Eye of Webbish Bog since the concept art seemingly hints that it will be a visual treat when done in a live-action format. Nevertheless, seeing these concept arts could still excite fans.
