Tom Holland Says His Spider-Man Would Beat Up Hugh Jackman's 'Old Man' Wolverine

Spider-Man vs Wolverine Movie Fight

Tom Holland is a name on everybody's mind here closing out 2021. The young actor has made a name for himself in playing the MCU's Spider-Man and will finish his first trilogy of wall-crawling films soon when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters worldwide. In the lead-up to the film, Holland and his co-stars have faced a myriad of questions, especially those regarding the Multiverse.

No Way Home is set to tear open the barriers between realities, allowing villains and quite possibly heroes from other universes to come and play in the MCU proper. The Multiverse is just getting introduced by Marvel Studios, and with it comes the prospect of more past cinematic Marvel personas dropping in.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is just one project that will supposedly feature one of these crossovers with reports of a Fox-owned character (perhaps an X-Man) making a cameo surfacing earlier this year.

But could fans ever see Holland's teenage webhead face of against one of these Fox-owned mutants? And if he were to, who would possibly come out on top? Well, Marvel's young superstar recently provided some insight on the subject.

Spider-Man vs Wolverine: Who Would Win In the Movies?

As a part of an interview on Geek Culture ExplainedSpider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland broke down who he thought would win in a fight between his wall-crawler and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.

After joking that he'd "beat up that old man," Holland really thinks about it coming to the conclusion that "Wolverine [would beat] Spider-Man every single time" and that Spidey "doesn’t kill people and Wolverine does:"

"“I’d beat up that old man [Logan]... [But if it's] X-Men Origins Wolverine, he’s going to batter me... I think Wolverine beats Spider-Man every single time because there’s no amount of battering that Spider-Man can do. And also, Spider-Man doesn’t kill people and Wolverine does. So that is a huge advantage to have in a fight.”

After some banter between Holland and No Way Home costars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, he comes back to the subject, surmising that this is a fight he may lose:

" I don’t think that Peter Parker would kill Wolverine. Especially not Hugh Jackman."

Wolverine: 1 Spider-Man: 0

Well, Wolverine may have won this hypothetical bout, but that is not to say Spider-Man could never come out on top. If it really came down to it, Peter Parker's quick wit and intellect would surely overcome the brawn of the tri-clawed Mutant.

Something that is interesting to think about is that with the Multiverse now at play, these two Marvel icons coming head-to-head isn't that far out of the question. Mutants coming to the MCU is an inevitability, and Spidey and Logan/the X-Men are an iconic pairing that has been seen a number of times in the comics.

With Tom Holland having signed on to continue appearing as the web-slinger in the MCU, it seems like a matter of time before the character crosses paths with one of the X-Men. Only then will fans have the answer to this hypothetical Wolverine vs. Spider-Man question.

Until then, audiences can take in a different Mutliversal Spidey adventure when Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts in theaters on December 17.
