Spider-Man: No Way Home Reveals Trailer 2 Release Date

Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the most anticipated Marvel movies of 2021, mainly due to the Multiverse-related rumors and reports that hounded the film in the past year.

Tom Holland's Peter Parker is set to return in the MCU threequel, and he will be joined by an unexpected Multiversal cast. Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will make a comeback in No Way Home to help Parker with his identity crisis dilemma, but the young hero's meddling combined with the Sorcerer's dangerous spell will ultimately lead to the arrival of villains from past Spider-Man films.

As a result, characters like Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and Jamie Foxx's Electro from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have been confirmed to cause trouble in the MCU, with more villains set to join the pair. In addition, rumors point out that it's not only the villains who will join Parker's next adventure as it was heavily implied that previous Spider-Men played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would appear in the film.

Maguire and Garfield's inclusion further boosted the anticipation of No Way Home's debut, and this was further amplified when insiders mentioned that there is a possibility that the web-slinging pair would be featured in the film's second trailer.

Now, as the films' marketing ramps up, it looks like a special event dedicated to the trailer will soon arrive.

Sony Hypes No Way Home Even Further

It looks like Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are bringing out the big guns for Spider-Man: No Way Home

The fact that both studios are pulling out all the stops for the second trailer could hint that something major will likely be revealed. Of course, this is on top of the fact that No Way Home's first trailer smashed records when it eclipsed Avengers: Endgame to nab the title of YouTube's most-viewed trailer.

A previous video showed wild fan reactions inside a jam-packed theater upon seeing No Way Home's first trailer, and it seems that Sony took note of that so that they could recreate it to further boost anticipation for the MCU threequel.

It's possible that No Way Home's marketing team may finally confirm Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's inclusion in the film, and they want to do it in an exclusive showcase filled with die-hard fans. On the other hand, there's also a chance that the full villain line-up will be unveiled, potentially confirming the likes of Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Rhys Ifans' Lizard.

It is unknown if cellphones will be allowed at the event, but there's a strong chance that they will be prohibited, especially after the first trailer leaked on social media.

Either way, this special trailer screening seems poised to reveal something major, and it will be interesting to find out which plot point or characters will be showcased once it's all said and done.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to premiere in theaters on December 17, 2021.
