By now, Marvel fans are well aware that Black Widow , the next movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has had its release date pushed back to November 6. But last week it was reported that Marvel fans would be getting a little something to tide them over in the interim in the form of two new trailers for the film .

NEWS

According to a Vancouver-based film critic’s tweets , a new trailer for Black Widow was shown at a Canadian movie theater . The trailer included "some new Red Guardian fight scenes" as well as other footage "fleshing out" the familial nature of the team.

WHAT THIS MEANS

It seems as though this new Black Widow trailer mainly consisted of clips shown in previous ones, which is unsurprising considering Marvel Studios already released the “final trailer” a few months ago back before the film’s release date was moved to November. The main purpose of these new trailers is likely to keep the movie in people’s minds so that hype builds back up as the new release date approaches. It’s understandable that Marvel wouldn’t want to give away too much more about the story.

The few new clips that were included seem to build off of ones we’ve seen in previous Black Widow trailers. We know Red Guardian is going to provide quite a bit of the movie’s action, and it sounds like this latest one has further confirmed this.

According to the report, the trailer also expands a bit upon the family dynamic between the main characters. We saw a bit of this in previous promotional footage but being able to see a little more of it should be exciting for fans, especially considering most of these characters are making their MCU debuts in this film.

Black Widow is set to hit US theaters on November 6, 2020, and in the UK a week prior on October 30, 2020.
