Out of all the many returning villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Jamie Foxx's Electro was the one who had the most extensive makeover. Gone was the comb-over-ed Oscorp Worker who had been painted blue—instead emerged a new Max Dillion, whose lightning was now yellow as he sported a more practical costume than he had in his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Those drastic changes were received well, which isn't surprising given how much audiences didn't care much for the character's last design. A similar response was given to The Amazing Spider-Man's version of the Lizard, but as those who saw the movie likely noticed, Curt Connors' look remained mostly unchanged.
For those who like to collect Marvel memorabilia, Hot Toys has now announced an official take on the electrified villain in 1/6 format. Needless to say, the attention to detail is astounding.
Jamie Foxx's Electro Gets a Hot Toy
Hot Toys announced a brand new 1/6 collectible figure for Jamie Foxx's Electro from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The first aspect of the figure to note is how the company absolutely nailed the face sculpt, which perfectly captures the actor's likeness.
The company also made sure to include the iconic comic-based electric mask on the villain, which showed up in the movie's final act.
Max Dillion's costume, and its many layers, are detailed down to the very smallest nooks and crannies.
The entire package comes with the figure, several alternate hands, an electric helmet, various lightning effect pieces, a Jamie Foxx head sculpt, and a base featuring the villain's name.
No release date was given, and as of writing, the product is not available for pre-order yet.
Another Spider-Man Hot Toy Down
This is far from the first Hot Toy for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Jamie Foxx's Electro will join the likes of both Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, both of whom will get highly-detailed figures that fans will be able to pose with their other Spider-Man collectibles.
Fans likely hope Hot Toys will keep going so they can keep getting villains to put next to their trio of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire Spider-Men. Sadly, for those hoping for a 1/6 scale collectible for Sandman or Lizard, it's unlikely that Hot Toy will be making official versions of them. However, there are always third-party options.
For those wondering when the figure might release, it'll be quite a long wait. For reference, the Doc Ock figure isn't set to arrive until the summer of 2023—so it'll probably be at least that long before any collectors get their hand on it.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is available for purchase on digital format or home media.
