Spider-Man: No Way Home was the dream webhead project for fans worldwide. The story saw Tom Holland’s hero not only team up with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s previous wall-crawlers but square off against a variety of their villains. Bad guys such as Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, or Jamie Foxx’s Electro all took the fight to Spidey.
For all of those collectors out there, the return of these villains is something they’d want to immortalize on their shelves. Thankfully the world has Hot Toys, a company that makes life-like and accurate 1/6 scale figures.
Its line of No Way Home products has already started, with the announcement of both the black and gold Spidey threads and the integrated suit having been revealed for quite some time. Most recently, the company revealed an impressive take on Dafoe’s Goblin, something most fans are no doubt going to want to get their hands on.
Next in line? None other than Alfred Molina and his metal tentacle friends.
Doc Ock’s Hot Toy Arrives
Hot Toys has officially unveiled preview photos for their upcoming release of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock from Spider-Man: No Way Home in 1/6 figure format.
This first image shows off the collectible's impressive presence, with each tentacle not only looking extremely posable but also retaining an insane amount of detail.
The deluxe version of the item will come with an additional set of tentacles: the Nanotech arms. While they don’t do all that much in the film, it’s still a neat display option, and it's great to see it available for those who want the additional details.
It also comes with a highly detailed Alfred Molina face sculpt, as well as those iconic shades.
This image teases one of the many poses possible for the figure, as his metal arms prop him up to gloat against his (former) web-slinging enemy.
For those wondering what all comes with the product, this handy image gives a great rundown of what can be expected.
The Power of Collectibles In the Palm of Your Hand
The first thing many fans and collectors have observed is how rocky the face sculpt is. The resemblance to Alfred Molina is questionable—though some photos with him wearing his shades do look better than others.
When it comes to everything else, it looks just as amazing as usual. The details are insane, and Doc Ock will no doubt look fantastic on display amongst everyone’s various Spidey figures.
With two Holland Spider-Man suits and a couple of antagonists on the Hot Toys roster already, who's next? When it comes to villains, the next likely reveal would be Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Lizard and Sandman could also follow, but their lack of extra parts make it a bit more unlikely.
Then there’s also the matter of Maguire and Garfield’s Spider-Men. Will fans see re-releases of their old figures, entirely new ones, or none at all? Given all the figures Spidey receives, it would be hard to see those two not getting the love. Fans will just have to wait and see how everything shapes up.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is playing in theaters worldwide.
