Marvel Studios has officially concluded its 2021 run of new movies and streaming series on Disney+, which brought nine new entries to the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4. This new round of projects ended just in time for the holiday season with the recent theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home along with the Christmas-centric Hawkeye.
As the holiday season nears for Marvel fans across the world, there is plenty to celebrate thanks to Marvel Studios' most content-filled year in history in terms of releases. All five of the MCU's Disney+ series have found a place at the top of the streaming charts while all four movies boast some of the highest opening-weekend box office results of the year, including a record-breaking run for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
With so much content now available for repeat viewings, MCU fans are flush with material to take in the Yuletide draws closer. Marvel itself is even taking advantage of this opportunity with new imagery centered on the MCU's most recent release.
Marvel Studios Releases Hawkeye Christmas Posters
Marvel Studios and Disney+ took to Twitter to release six Christmas-themed posters to promote the new Disney+ series Hawkeye, whose final episode aired on December 22.
The newest poster directly from Marvel shows a battle-weary Clint Barton working on a red arrow with plenty of MCU Easter eggs to find in the surrounding area of his cabin. Along with Lucky the Pizza Dog delivering another arrow, fans can see an Avengers-themed clock, the Ronin sword, arrowheads as Christmas lights, Pym and Stark tech arrowheads in the corner, and Clint Barton's quiver hanging above the fireplace.
Also included is the message "Happy Holidays from Hawkeye's Workshop."
Marvel re-shared an early poster for the show featuring Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, and Lucky with Christmas lights surrounding the trio.
Under the classic Christmas saying "'Tis the Season to be Jolly," Clint and Kate ride the toy horses to which they were tied up in Episode 3. Clint is riding a unicorn while Kate is on a rocket, neither appearing to be amused in the slightest.
Lucky the Pizza Dog looks into a snowglobe that holds Clint and Kate donning their full superhero costumes that premiered in Episode 6. The snowglobe also features a plate with the Hawkeye title card on the front.
Bishop Security got their own Christmas poster with the company logo as the topper against a completely purple background. Also included was the message "Your safety matters most this holiday season."
Hawkeye Celebrating the Holidays with MCU Fans
Marvel Studios' Hawkeye came as the franchise's second Christmas-themed project after 2013's Iron Man 3, although this time, it was featured even more heavily in the storyline for Clint Barton. The series kicked off with the OG Avenger spending the holidays in New York with his kids before all hell broke loose with the Tracksuit Mafia, forcing him into a stressful mission to finish the job in time to get home to his family.
Featuring some of the series' best and funniest moments, Marvel celebrated its final Disney+ show of the year by giving fans new imagery to enjoy with the holidays only a short time away. With questions now asking whether Hawkeye will get a second season and when Marvel's next holiday-themed project will come, this series will at least keep the excitement going as the calendar flips to 2022.
All six episodes of Hawkeye are now available to stream on Disney+.
