With all of the Loki attention and the Marvel craze in general, it's easy to forget sometimes that Disney+ does also release Star Wars shows. With the number of projects that Marvel Studios is pumping out, it's surely a point of jealousy amongst Star Wars fans—fans who currently only have The Mandalorian to hang on to, at least when it comes to live-action projects.

The Mandalorian is a show that hasn't been talked about too much since the Season 2 finale last December. Obviously, however, that wasn't the end of Mando's time—or Star Wars on Disney+. In fact, the next thing that Star Wars fans have to look forward to is Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett sometime this fall/winter.

Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is a show that spun out from Boba Fett's return in The Mandalorian Season 2. In fact, not only will it star Boba Fett but also Fennec Shand, a character who also came back from the dead that same season.

With The Mandalorian's third season set to debut sometime, can fans expect those characters to return to the show in which they made their original appearance? More specifically, will fans see Fennec Shand there?

IS FENNEC RETURNING TO THE MANDALORIAN?

Ming-Na Wen had a discussion with Digital Spy talking all about Star Wars. In doing so, Wen brought up a funny situation that occurred on the set of Star Wars: The Book of Boba Bet

Apparently, while shooting Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, Ming-Na Wen didn't even know that it was for that project. Apparently, when the cast and crew found out about she wasn't aware of that, Wen said that "they were dying."

"When the crew and the cast found out, they were dying. It was so crazy. So, yeah, it was wonderful to finally discover that I was shooting The Book of Boba Fett [laughs]. They call it The Mandalorian 2.5, in a way. So I wasn't all wrong."

Wen also mentioned that the cast and crew were calling Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett basically the next season of The Mandalorian. So, does that mean Fennec Shand's presence in the proper third season is all but a given? According to Wen, "You'll probably know before I do:"

"I don't know. You'll probably find out before I do. You guys have your feelers out on everything. I mean, come on, I didn't even know I was shooting The Book of Boba Fett, so you're asking the wrong person."

MING-NA WEN'S RETURN IS LIKELY

While she may not know officially if she is set to return in The Mandalorian's third season, it seems all but a given as she's appeared in every Disney+ project so far. That is, of course, unless she dies in Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett. This is something fans will just have to wait and see about.

For now, fans of Fennec Shand can still get their fill of her thanks to her current role in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the first original Star Wars animated series to be greenlit for Disney+. It sure does seem like Lucasfilm and the creatives behind Star Wars have big plans for Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand.

So, while fans wait for the third The Mandalorian season to arrive, which is going to be a while, they can rest assured that the next big project isn't that far out.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is whetting viewers' appetites now, and not too long after, fans will get an entire series focused on everyone's favorite bounty hunter.

The Bad Batch streams new episodes every Friday, exclusively on Disney+.
