WARNING — This article contains spoilers for Episode 5 of Loki.

Loki has two episodes left, and it's clear that the series is poised to deliver an explosive finale.

The fourth episode entitled 'The Nexus Event' finally showed that the TVA is not what it seems, and this was due to the reveal that the Time-Keepers are not the powerful cosmic beings that everyone says they are.

Instead, they are just androids who are being controlled by someone far more nefarious and dangerous. The identity of the head of the TVA is still being kept under wraps , but it is expected that it will be revealed sooner rather than later.

The latest episode also managed to showcase the reunion of Owen Wilson's Mobius and Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief , but it was cut short due to the fact that the former was pruned by Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Ravonna Renslayer after finding out the truth behind the time-based organization.

Not only that, but the recent installment ended with a shocker by showing Loki being pruned as well by Renslayer after having an intimate moment with Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie . However, the journey of the titular trickster is not over yet, since the post-credits scene confirmed that he is still very much alive in an unknown realm alongside a slew of Loki Variants .

Now, a special look at what comes next in Loki has emerged.

LOKI VARIANTS UNITE IN EPISODE 5

Reddit user redstarmetalarm unearthed new stills from a newly-aired Loki promo spot from ESPN, showcasing fresh looks from what is presumably the fifth episode of the exciting Disney+ series.

Tom Hiddleston's Loki stands alongside his fellow Variants, Jack Veal's Kid Loki and Richard E. Grant's Classic Loki. In this still, it looks like the two Variants are trying to educate the show's main character about their mysterious location.

From another angle, it seems that the trio is in front of a mystical doorway that could connect to other pathways of whatever dimension they are currently in.

The last image shows the Loki Variants in action, and it appears that they are going up against the minions of President Loki from the previous trailers of the series.

LOKI VS THE TVA

From the get-go, this first batch of stills should generate more hype for the upcoming episode of Loki .

The images are enough proof that a good chunk of the episode will revolve around the Loki Variants that were featured in the post-credits scene of Episode 4, thus bringing more clarity on how they ended up in this mysterious location in the first place.

It seems that Kid Loki and Richard E. Grant's Classic Loki will be responsible for bringing Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief up to speed on what's going on, and signs indicate that a major reveal will likely be featured in the episode. There's a good chance that these Loki Variants were also pruned by the TVA at some point, and it's possible that all of them are seeking revenge against the tyrants of time.

The mysterious pathway could be the key to the Variants' escape in this location, and it appears that they are all mapping out a plan to get out of their current situation. If this is the case, then it means that a full-blown showdown between the TVA and Loki Variants is in the cards for the finale.

Meanwhile, the shot of the Loki Variants in action inside the base of President Loki is intriguing. Given that previous trailers already showed this Loki Variant being threatened by his own allies, it's possible that the main Loki is posing as the politically driven version of himself, thus leading to the all-out scuffle that is featured in the image.

It will be interesting to find out more Loki Variants in the episode, but at this point, it remains to be seen if they will align with the titular Asgardian against the TVA.

The first four episodes of Loki are now streaming on Disney+, and the fifth installment is set to drop on Wednesday, July 7.
