The small screen universe of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding, and it's now Loki's turn to fill in the gaps of the franchise's massive story.

Written by Michael Waldron, Loki follows the story of an alternate version of Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief that was introduced during the time-hopping events of Avengers: Endgame. During the 2019 film, the Asgardian escaped due to a mishap after the Battle of New York, thus leading to his freedom alongside the Tesseract.

However, it was cut short due to the arrival of the Time Variance Authority. The first episode revealed that this organization is tasked to protect the Sacred Timeline, stopping different variants who tried to dismantle time and reality along the way.

To give fans a background of how the TVA works, the debut episode used a unique approach in discussing this matter by showcasing an animated introduction video led by Miss Minutes. The character, voiced by Tara Strong, delivered a significant amount of information, explaining the institution's main tasks and roles in the sacred timeline.

Now, the fan-favorite clock has received her own promotional poster ahead of the second episode of the series.

MISS MINUTES TAKES THE SPOTLIGHT

Marvel Studios officially released a brand-new character poster for Loki, putting the spotlight on Tara Strong's Miss Minutes.

MISS MINUTES' VITAL ROLE IN LOKI

This poster serves as a fitting reminder of how vital Miss Minutes will be in the narrative of Loki moving forward.

Tara Strong's Marvel character didn't waste time laying the groundwork of the TVA's complicated history in the animated introduction video, but many would agree that it raised a plethora of questions along the way.

For starters, there's a good chance that Miss Minutes is not only a mere mascot for the TVA, and she could even be revealed as a pawn to the true plan of the Timekeepers or Kang the Conqueror himself.

Loki creator Michael Waldron even pointed out that the video contained “some of the most vital dialogue” in the series, thus implying that the character has a large part to play in the looming conflict.

The exact role of the TVA in the multiverse-based plot of Phase 4 is still unknown, but it's possible that this organization is being run by a shady entity that is pulling the strings to achieve a perfect (and not sacred) timeline. If this is the case, then the adorable and charming personality of Miss Minutes could simply be a cover of the institution's nefarious deeds.

It remains to be seen if Miss Minutes will return in future episodes, but signs point that she will make a comeback to clear the air about her overarching presence in the series.

The second episode of Loki will stream on Disney+ on June 16, 2021.
