Zack Snyder is back in the spotlight after bringing his vision for the DCEU's team-up movie to life with Zack Snyder's Justice League premiering on HBO Max in March. The four-hour non-canon extravaganza looked to push the theatrical cut of Justice League far into the past and allow Snyder to finally tell the story he intended to deliver in 2017.

After the Snyder Cut made its rounds, the director spent his time conducting interviews about both what happened in this movie and what would've happened had he continued with Warner Bros. From characters he would've included in a Man of Steel sequel to storylines he would've tackled in a second Justice League, Snyder has been an open book regarding plans he had before his relationship with Warner Bros. went south.

The DCEU mainstay recently continued down this path with another tease for the unmade Justice League 2.

Director Zack Snyder appeared on the It's Gone Viral YouTube channel to talk about Zack Snyder's Justice League along with what he would've brought to the story in a potential sequel.

When asked about the possibilities of more Green Lanterns, New Gods, and Female Furies, Snyder responded with "100%," confirming multiple theories:

"100%. You would get some kind of probably Female Furies landing on Theymscira in some sort of crazy giant…"

He then discussed Darkseid's story in the theoretical sequel, speaking about how it would be "pretty much the entire hoard of New Gods landing on Earth." This would bring in heroes like the Green Lanterns and the Female Furies, setting up an epic battle and "a pretty formidable war:"

"The Apokalyptian invasion that’s coming, that Darkseid is like ‘Ready the armada,’ he’s loading up all of his cats, and they’re coming. It would be pretty much the entire hoard of New Gods landing on Earth. That’s why you’d need the Lanterns, and that’s why you’d need everybody to join together to fight against…Because that’s a pretty formidable war that you’re about to get into."

MORE PLANS REVEALED FOR THE SNYDERVERSE?

Zack Snyder hasn't been one to hold back when discussing stories he would've enjoyed developing into his future DC Extended Universe adventures.

In terms of this latest news, the Green Lanterns and the New Gods seem like fairly logical choices considering both of their appearances in Zack Snyder's Justice League. While Darkseid held a place as the movie's overarching villain controlling everything Steppenwolf and his crew did on Earth, the Lanterns only had a small tease in the flashback fight with the Altanteans and the Amazonians.

Snyder had recently made it known that actor Wayne T. Carr was originally set to play John Stewart (a leading Lantern in the comics) in the Snyder Cut before being scrapped due to Warner Bros.' upcoming plans with Green Lantern.

It remains to be seen whether either of these groups, along with the Female Furies, will appear in the canon future for the DCEU. Wonder Woman 3 could potentially expand on the Female Furies while HBO Max will be hosting the eventual debut for the Green Lantern Corps show, but there are still plenty of unknowns to work through as the saga continues.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is available to stream on HBO Max.
