Marvel Studios may officially be back in action for the first time since Summer 2019, but the team behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe still has an entirely new slate of movies and shows coming down the pipeline.
2021 will bring an MCU-record ten unique properties releasing both on Disney+ and in theaters , about half of which still have plenty of filming to do. This includes a combined three shows and movies centered on Marvel newcomers and seven (un)official sequels following up on stories from the Infinity Saga.
One of those sequels is the Disney+ solo series Hawkeye , which will mark MCU veteran Jeremy Renner's first top billing as the master SHIELD agent/archer. Renner has been the focus of most behind-the-scenes looks at this upcoming Disney+ series, and he has also shared many sneak peeks from his own social media accounts, of which a new one has just arrived...
RENNER SHOWS THE END OF A HARD DAY'S WORK
In a new post on his Instagram account, MCU actor Jeremy Renner posted a selfie from the set of Marvel Studios' Hawkeye . The photo shows Renner from behind with his classic Hawkeye quiver on his back, completely empty, along with the caption "A good day is done ... 👊🏻."

HAWKEYE PRODUCTION CONTINUES
Production for Marvel Studios' Hawkeye still has plenty of work remaining, but it's great to see another inside look from the show's leading man . With this series on Disney+ being the first lead billing for Jeremy Renner after supporting roles in five previous movies, he appears to be truly passionate about his work bringing Clint Barton into the spotlight.
There is nothing particularly of note to see in the picture; however, it gives a closer look at the SHIELD logo that remains on the bottom of the quiver . Whether Hawkeye will be involved with the consistently secret MCU organization is a mystery, although the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home could serve as a way for the group to return in some fashion.
While no specific plot details are known about Renner's Disney+ series, it's been confirmed that he will take on a mentor role in training Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop , a notable member of the Young Avengers from Marvel Comics. After making multiple attempts to retire and spend time with his family through Phases 2 and 3, perhaps his new mentee will take some of the burden off his shoulders as she evolves into a hero.
Hawkeye is currently filming and set to release on Disney+ in late 2021.
