In February, Marvel Studios announced a documentary series for its movies and shows called Assembled . The first episode of this new series was about the making of WandaVision , which is currently available on Disney+.
The episode itself contained a lot of information already seen by fans if in the various featurettes released for WandaVision as episodes came out.
The same thing is happening with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier after its first episode with a new sneak peek at the production of the show.
ASSEMBLING SAM AND BUCKY
A new featurette titled "Continuation" for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier features sit-down interviews with various cast and crew members of the Disney+ series like director Kari Skogland, producer Nate Moore, and actors Sebastian Stan & Anthony Mackie.
As is now apparent from the featurettes for WandaVision , this will likely be the format for Marvel Studios' Assembled: The Making of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Cameras roll as Sam prepares to hand over Steve Rogers' shield to the Captain American museum in a still from the featurette.
Another still features a behind-the-scenes glimpse at a scene of Sam and Bucky Barnes together on a plane, which may pop up in the soon-to-be-released second episode of the series.
The full featurette can be seen below:
ASSEMBLY LINE OF CONTENT
It's actually pretty genius how Marvel Studios is essentially using everything they have done during these shows to its advantage. Not only do these featurettes on set help promote the show every week, but they're taken from the eventual episode of Assembled focused on the series that will release the week after the finale.
As for what was said in this featurette, it focused on what connects Sam and Bucky as people while also discussing their journeys in the show: Bucky confronting his harrowing past as the Winter Soldier and Sam struggling with accepting the role of Captain America as a black man and what inevitably comes with that decision.
The next episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier releases on March 26, 2021, on Disney+.
