Marvel Studios is just over a week from concluding its run on its second Disney+ exclusive, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , which has two episodes remaining. The MCU is showcasing a gritty post- Avengers: Endgame adventure with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, taking on a host of villains all over the world.
The Flag Smashers still pose quite the threat as Karli Morgethau looks to recover after losing her entire batch of Super Soldier Serum . Meanwhile, Wyatt Russell's U.S. Agent showed his true colors by brutally murdering one of Morgenthau's supporters in broad daylight, putting his status as Captain America in serious jeopardy.
Even with continuing stories for both of these adversaries, a recent social media post may indicate the return of someone else from the show's early run...
A SECOND BATROC RETURN?
In a new story on Instagram, Batroc the Leaper actor Georges St-Pierre shared an image of a t-shirt adorned with the logo for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier along with the text "this Friday on Disney+."
Considering that St-Pierre had not made these types of posts before previous episodes which he didn't appear in, this new photo could indicate that St-Pierre is set to return in Episode 5 of the Disney+ series, premiering this Friday.
MORE ACTION FOR BATROC IN STORE?
When it was initially announced that St-Pierre would return for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , excitement built up to see the Captain America villain in action for the first time since 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier . After only a few minutes of screen time in Episode 1, he has been noticeably absent, but fans have hoped for another appearance from him for weeks.
There were also some set photos from September 2020 that showed Batroc brandishing a pistol in a sequence that hasn't been seen yet through the first four episodes. Additionally, St-Pierre spoke after the TFATWS's first episode on how a rematch with Anthony Mackie's Falcon was in store after their first fight on the army plane.
With only two episodes in the show remaining, there is still plenty of story to get to even besides Batroc's unknown fate. After escaping from the first battle alive, fans are curious to see if St-Pierre's tease turns into anything tangible in the last couple of hours in this adventure.
"Episode 5" of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ on Friday, April 16.
