As the DC Extended Universe prepares for its long-awaited resurgence with both Wonder Woman 1984 and the Snyder Cut of Justice League, the company's TV division is gearing up for new seasons of multiple major series. Included in this slate is season 2 of Batwoman, which shocked the world with Ruby Rose's unexpected exit before Javicia Leslie signed on to bring the title role to life moving forward.

There is still a great deal of mystery surrounding the plot for Batwoman's sophomore season, particularly with how the show will write out Ruby Rose, but fans are already excited for the future thanks to a handful of teases promoting Leslie's Ryan Wilder. Most of these teases have centered around Leslie's impeccable new suit that she will don as The CW's newest leading woman, including a new one detailing the process of becoming Wilder herself.

In a new video from the @GeeksOfColor Twitter page from the CCXP conference, Jacivia Leslie suits up as the titular hero for season 2 of The CW's Batwoman. The 45-second video highlights Leslie outfitting herself in the superhero's gauntlets and capes, and she appears to be all smiles as she gets ready for another day of shooting.

The new video doesn't lend any hints as to what will lie ahead for this new season, although Leslie seems to be as excited as ever to take on the first superhero role of her career. The suit Leslie will don is already set to make a major statement as she becomes Batwoman, with reports saying it will "let Gotham [know] that a new hero has arrived."

Longtime Arrowverse costume designer Maya Mani, who also worked on designs for the suits of Grant Gustin's Flash and Stephen Amell's Green Arrow, worked to redesign the Batwoman suit for the new actress, producing a much more colorful and lively suit than the one from season 1. It will be exciting to find out how this second season displays the suit's practicality, as well as when Ryan Wilder fully transforms herself into a hero.

Season 2 is said to be throwing Leslie's Ryan Wilder straight into the fire as a superhero as she integrates herself with the Bat-team, eventually finding herself face to face with the classic Batman villain, Scarecrow. With Wilder now assuming full responsibility for protecting the city of Gotham, she will most certainly have her hands full as the show makes its return.

Batwoman season 2 is set to premiere at 8 PM EST on January 17, 2021.
