The Marvel Cinematic Universe is enjoying the entertainment spotlight as Phase 4 begins with the crazy Disney+ series, WandaVision. Fully embedded in the style of classic American sitcoms from the 1950s to 70s through three episodes, the "unusual couple" is starting to find out that everything is likely not the way it seems in Westview.

Not only is this Marvel Studios' first foray into long-form storytelling on Disney+, its the first new content from the MCU in 18 months. Thankfully, even though WandaVision wasn't originally the first mini-series set to release, it still tells a continuing story from the end of the Infinity Saga with two heroes who have seen their fair share of action in the past dozen years.

Long before WandaVision debuted, one of the show's stars gave an absolute classic story focused on some NSFW details about his character. By some stroke of luck, that topic is in discussions from the cast once more.

JOSS WHEDON WANTED VISION'S ***** IN AGE OF ULTRON

In a recent interview on the Lights, Camera, Pod Podcast, Paul Bettany took a moment to reflect on Vision's birth in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. In this story, Bettany revealed that director Joss Whedon initially wanted to reveal Vision having a penis as he was brought to life by Tony Stark, Bruce Banner and Thor:

"I know that Joss Whedon apparently really, really wanted the rendition of him, when Vision first is born, before he was clothed, he was like 'He’s gotta have a penis.' And everyone - Kevin (Feige) and Lewis, I mean everybody was like 'I don’t know, Joss…I mean…I’m not sure…,'…'HE HAS TO HAVE A PENIS, I WANT TO SEE SOME DRAWINGS OF PENISES!'"

Continuing the story, Whedon seemed to vehemently regret his initial decision after seeing an idea of what it would look like on screen:

“So they actually, somewhere is the rendition of Vision’s birth with these penises and they put them all up on the wall, and then they went in, and they sat down, and Joss went…'Yeah, I’m 100% wrong. I don’t need to see any of these.'"

PAUL BETTANY CAN'T KEEP IT SFW

Whether it's before WandaVision's run or during it, Paul Bettany can't seem to stay away from the topic of Vision's junk!

Even though the idea appears to have never gotten off the ground during the production of Age of Ultron, it would be tough to throw male genitals into a regularly PG-13 rated franchise, even if they belong to an android. Vision did arise from the genesis pod completely naked before he furnished clothing for himself out of thin air, but it seems like a long shot that Disney and Marvel would have brought something more adult into their movie universe.

Penis or no penis, Vision's birth was one of the highlight moments of Avengers: Age of Ultron as Paul Bettany left the voiceover booth for the first time. Ultron's creation helped bring awe-inspiring moments as he lifted Thor's mighty hammer Mjölnir and helped the Avengers defeat James Spader's villain seemingly for good.

This put Vision on a path to display his incredible powers over the course of two more MCU movies before his first starring appearance in WandaVision. Considering this series is rated the equivalent of PG, it's unlikely that there will be any penis-related content, but that shouldn't be anything to discourage fans from continuing with this journey.

Episode 4 of WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, January 29, 2021.
