Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is running at full speed with the franchise’s first entry exclusively streaming on Disney+ in WandaVision . After seven weeks of action thus far, the hype has built to a fever-pitch with anticipation only building as the season finale inches closer.
Throughout the season, fans have gotten a tease of how some of this magic came to life during the production for this unique MCU property. This will continue into even greater depths with the premiere of Marvel Studios' Assembled , which will premiere on Disney+ the week after WandaVision’s season finale arrives.
Before that arrives, however, these looks continue to come through other sources.
TAKING A PEEK INTO WANDAVISION
In a new article from Elle , four pictures have released showing off behind-the-scenes looks at Marvel Studios’ WandaVision . All five pictures can be seen below:
Elizabeth Olsen in her dinner dress from “Episode 1.” This image brings the colors that didn’t come through in the black & white footage.
Elizabeth Olsen going through some makeup touch-ups while Kathryn Hahn reads during shooting for “Episode 1.” This was all set up for the epic battle about to ensue between Wanda and Agatha.
Elizabeth Olsen getting her hair and makeup set for “Episode 2.” This outfit came to life in the episode’s final moments as the footage shifted from black & white to color.
Teyonah Parris having her makeup worked on for “Episode 3.” This was her second of two episodes stuck in Wanda’s reality.
Elizabeth Olsen putting the final touches on her comic accurate Halloween costume from “Episode 6.” She fought hard to get this look into WandaVision , and she got it.
A LOOK AT THE SHOW’S EARLIER EPISODES
WandaVision has earned plenty of success and praise as the MCU’s first property on Disney+, and these images show just how much work went into making this endeavor a reality.
Then again, this story is raising the question of what really is real and what isn’t .
These pictures don’t reveal a great deal of new information, but they give a fantastic look at the work and effort that went into making this series happen. Olsen, Parris, and Hahn have all excelled in their roles through the first eight episodes, and the stage is set for a truly special episode to finish the season .
It will likely be some time until more images like this release, particularly from the later episodes. However, Marvel’s Assembled should do an excellent job of detailing all the work and preparation that the team did to make WandaVision as good as it is.
The season finale of WandaVision will premiere on Friday, March 5, 2021. The first eight episodes of the show are now available to stream on Disney+.
