As any Star Wars fan could probably tell you, the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian is a smash hit and almost universally beloved. The show has spawned both memes and merchandise over the explosive popularity of 'The Child' (aka Baby Yoda) and for the titular bounty hunter himself, as portrayed by actor Pedro Pascal.

As we head towards season two of the series, set to premiere sometime in the Fall, we're learning more and more about the upcoming episodes, both in front of and behind the camera.

NEWS

Recently, Pedro Pascal gave an interview with GQ (via Star Wars Holocron) in which he hyped up the new season of The Mandalorian. Pascal had the following to say: “There are some pretty mind-blowing things. I think expectations will be exceeded. Their love of Star Wars will be injected with steroids.”

He also revealed that he has taken special interest in Academy Award-winning composer, Ludwig Göransson's work on the series, even going in on his days off to see him conduct his orchestra as he scores the show: “Just to see Ludwig [Göransson] and his live orchestra, which they rarely do any more, and see that all come together was amazing.”

WHAT THIS MEANS

The fans will surely be pleased to hear that, in Pedro Pascal's opinion, their expectations for season two of The Mandalorian will be exceeded. Of course, it's quite common for actors to create buzz for the things in which they appear in, but given the overall quality of the first season of the show, one would think that Pascal is spot on in his praise.

What's also very intriguing is that he takes time out of his schedule to watch the score to the series be recorded. It's always rather refreshing to see an actor take such an impassioned interest in their projects.

Folks will need to wait until the Fall to see what Lucasfilm has cooked up for season two, but given what we've been learning about it lately, it will more than likely be worth the wait.
