Star Wars is set to return to the small screen through the upcoming debut of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+, and it's clear that anticipation is high for the series. Created by Dave Filoni, the show will showcase the adventures of Clone Force 99, a squad that was first introduced in the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The team is a collection of genetically altered clone troopers who were able to avoid the infamous Order 66 at the tail-end of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The series will follow Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Echo, and Tech as they take odd jobs as mercenaries throughout the dark ages of the galaxy.
Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but it was already revealed that the debut episode of The Bad Batch will be massive due to its 75-minute runtime. In addition, trailers for the series also confirmed that several fan-favorites like Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand and Captain Rex will serve as guest stars during the first season.
Now, as the release of the show inches closer, a new poster has emerged.

HUNTER'S LEADERSHIP WILL BE TESTED IN THE BAD BATCH
Hunter is the leader of Clone Force 99, and it's only fitting that he gets to be the first member to receive his very own poster ahead of The Bad Batch's debut.
In Star Wars canon, Hunter's genetic mutations led to heightened senses and impressive combat prowess, making him a formidable ally on the battlefield. Given that his squad will be on the run from the Empire in the series, it looks like Hunter's leadership skills will be tested, and it will be interesting to see how he will handle the situation this time around.
Previous rumors also suggest that one of The Bad Batch's own in the form of Crosshair will betray them to join forces with the Empire. It's a safe bet that Hunter and the rest of his squad will not take this betrayal lightly, and it seems that he will handle this matter on his own when given the chance.
The Clone Wars provided a glimpse of Hunter's bravado and authority, but The Bad Batch presents a prime opportunity to do a deep dive into the character's backstory and potential.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is set to premiere on Disney+ on May 4, 2021.
