Fans finally got a second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and while it didn't have any Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire footage, it didn't disappoint in the slightest.

While the film's first trailer only showed Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, this time around, the world got to see Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx's Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. It was a villain kind of day all around.

There was also some more of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, which helped to add more context as to why he was seen chasing down Spider-Man in the last trailer. Although the reasoning is unclear, it would seem that Peter wants to go against his doctor's orders.

Well now, some alternate footage has emerged that showcases some more of their interaction when Strange seemingly catches the webslinger.

New Footage With Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and a Joke on Kids

New footage from an alternate Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has surfaced that showcases a funny moment between Doctor Strange and Spider-Man as he is attempting to get away with a mysterious cube-shaped device.

Also of note is how a golden device of some sort can be seen on Spider-Man's hand/forearm.

Next, fans got a neat little visual of Spider-Man basically trapping himself mid-air thanks to a clever portal trick courtesy of the good doctor.

Doctor Strange then got his moment to quip, looking at Peter's antics and saying "This is why I never had kids."

Then came the visual fans have come to know and love from both trailers: Doctor Strange pushing Peter's astral form out of his body.

Spider-Man seemed to have liked it as well, noting how "That might be one of the coolest things that's ever happened to [him]," but then makes a pointed exclamation to Strange: "... but don't ever do that again."

Is that an official threat, Peter Parker?

The Evolving Spider-Man/Doctor Strange Relationship

It's interesting to actually see the resolution to this particular moment, as it's one that fans have had on their mind ever since it played out for the first time in the last trailer. Even more intriguing is how not-hostile the situation seems to be after Strange stops Peter.

The real question is, will the chase continue on from this point, or has that Mirror Dimension pursuit already occurred? Either way, events aren't going to go well from here—the film needs its third act after all.

The evolving dynamic between Doctor Strange and Spider-Man will make for an intriguing plot point. It seems that the film may be playing into a father/son dynamic with the children joke coming into play.

This is certainly a fine line for the movie to straddle. The storytellers will always be at risk of coming too close to what Peter had with Tony, so they'll need to be extra careful to make the relationship between these two different.
