There was a lot happening back in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Two of the MCU's biggest heroes were fighting, everyone was divided, and Spider-Man finally got his introduction. But something else momentous occurred in that film: the start of Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's bromance.
Those few seconds of chemistry led to an entire Disney+ show about them. Not only were their dynamics explored, but the two got the time they would have never received if not for sitting in that car together and having those laughs.
It's crazy to think about, and the two basically have the strongest friendship currently active in the MCU. So, of course, when one of them has a birthday in real life, the other has to celebrate in grand fashion.
Celebrating Anthony Mackie's Birthday
Sebastian Stan took to Instagram to celebrate Anthony Mackie's birthday by releasing a funny video of the world's new Captain America having trouble getting through the day on the set of Captain America: Civil War.
The video can be seen below:
With the video came a message from Stan, encouraging Mackie to "keep on flying CAP!!!:"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother from another mother!!! Love you to the moon and back. Keep on flying CAP !!! #thegreatest #onyourleft @anthonymackie"
Sebastian Stan Sends His Love
It's great to see that these two stars have such a strong bond both on-screen and off. While it isn't quite known when the two may pop up next, there's definitely a long future ahead for both of them.
There is, of course, Captain America 4, which is confirmed to have Anthony Mackie return as Sam Wilson aka the new Captain America. As for Bucky, well, nothing is known about whether he is coming back––but there's surely something on the horizon for him.
Sadly, there haven't been any recent rumblings about a second season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, so it doesn't look like it's getting the same treatment as Loki; which is fine. One can't expect every show Marvel puts out to have multiple seasons.
