New TV spot teases return of Ahsoka in new episode

In 2018, it was announced at Comic-Con that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would return for a seventh season with twelve new episodes to be released on Disney Plus. It was teased that fans would receive some closure with their favorite characters from the show, specifically Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano. The first four epsiodes of this new season have already been released. They centered around Rex's arc with the Bad Batch and his other clone brother, Echo, who was previously believed to be dead. Now, Lucasfilm has given its viewers a hint at what's to come in the upcoming episode of Season 7.

Star Wars' official Youtube and Twitter accounts just unveiled a one-minute T.V. Spot ahead of Friday's new epsiode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars , "Gone With a Trace." It teases the return of Ahsoka Tano, one of the show's main characters who was written off in the Season 5 finale. The TV Spot dives into what her life is like outside of the Jedi Order, and suggests she's still getting into some trouble. Check out the video here:

WHAT THIS MEANS

As stated before, it was already known to the public that Ahsoka would be returning for this final season. This was an interesting decision considering Lucasfilm had already placed an older and mature version of Ahsoka in the show Star Wars: Rebels , where they developed her character in fascinating ways. It was clear, however, that Dave Filoni still had a story for her in this time period . The description of the video discloses that Ahsoka is still on the planet Coruscant, but she's now living her life in the underworld, which is full of fugitives and bounty hunters. It further states that she is helping "aspiring pilot Trace Martez," and her sister in creating droids. Her goal is to not reveal her past as a Jedi or her powers with the Force, but this will be a difficult task in the underworld. The spot also shows other familiar criminals that fans have seen in past seasons, so it's safe to say there will be some problems. One can only wonder how long it will take before she is spotted and when the Mandalorians will arrive in this new season.
