After Episode 5 delivered some seriously shocking reveals and revelations, fans are left wondering how Hawkeye will wrap up all its hanging plot threads while still making it home in time for Christmas. The penultimate episode of the Clint Barton-led show introduced an element that will have a major impact on the series finale in addition to other sects of the MCU.
One of the show's cast members said as much, with Kazi actor Fra Fee teasing that Episodes 5 and 6 will have "huge ramifications on the MCU going forward."
Many elements are coalescing for Hawkeye's finale, including Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop's plot with her mother and Jack Duquesne, and Echo's role in the show. Because of this, some may be concerned that there is a lot for one episode to handle.
Now, the runtime for Hawkeye's sixth and final episode has been revealed, which may alleviate those worried that the show won't be able to address everything it's set up.
Hawkeye Finale Runtime Revealed
Amit Chaudhari, a movie insider from India, shared that the final episode of Hawkeye will be 59 minutes long after previously providing accurate runtimes for the series' previous episodes.
This makes Hawkeye's finale the longest episode of any MCU show on Disney+ to date, beating out Episode 2 of Loki which ran for 54 minutes.
How Will Hawkeye Fill Its Finale?
Warning - This section contains spoilers for Episode 5 of Hawkeye.
Now that the Kingpin is back in town, Hawkeye truly has a lot of spinning plates that it needs to balance. Despite that, an hour-long episode of the show should provide ample time to allow all of the setup to be satisfyingly paid off.
Wilson Fisk's grand return to the Marvel universe is deserving of a substantial amount of screen time, and it seems that Hawkeye's finale will provide just that. In addition to the reappearance of the big guy, Hawkeye will also need to address how Yelena progresses from here, the truth behind Armand Duquesne's death, why Eleanor Bishop and Jack Duquesne are so shady, who the Rolex belongs to, how Echo will deal with her newfound knowledge about her father's death, and what will become of Clint and Kate's partnership.
That is quite a lot.
It seems that Hawkeye's work is cut out for it, so hopefully, the final episode will be able to deliver when it premieres on December 22, 2021.
