Hawkeye is gearing up for an explosive and action-packed finale, but there are still mysteries that have yet to be resolved, such as the series' big bad. Directed by Rhys Thomas and Bert and Bertie, the Disney+ series is pulling out all the stops in showcasing Clint Barton's story and Kate Bishop's heroic rise to Avengers status. Hawkeye is also teasing the looming presence of Maya Lopez's "uncle" as well as Eleanor Bishop and Jack Duquesne's shady business deals.
Hawkeye's first four episodes were filled with hard-hitting action and intimate character moments.
From Clint and Kate's bow-wielding antics to Maya's tragic backstory, the series offers a deeper look at the street-level roots of the MCU. Episode 4 changed the status quo when Black Widow's Yelena Belova arrived on the scene, seeking revenge against Barton after Natasha Romanoff's death.
After the big revelation during Episode 4, the hype for Hawkeye dialed up even further. This, combined with reports that Episode 5 would "blow up" Twitter, suggests that a major reveal is in the cards.
Now, new photos from the penultimate episode have been released.

Hawkeye Heads to A Thrilling Finale
These images offer a preview and a recap of Hawkeye's latest installment.
Clint's emotional talk to Natasha before donning the Ronin suit speaks volumes about his character, essentially showing that he will do whatever it takes to protect his family. Many would agree that seeing the bow-wielding Avenger back as Ronin is a visual treat as the last time fans saw Barton wear the vigilante suit was during Avengers: Endgame.
The episode also provided more insight on what to expect about Maya Lopez's upcoming spinoff series with Clint's reveal that he was tipped off about the Tracksuit Mafia's location, which ultimately led to the death of Maya's father. This heavily suggests that Kingpin is behind the killing, thus making it complicated for Echo to trust her "uncle" moving forward.
The exchange between Kazi and Maya also implies that the former knew what would happen when Maya's father died. It's likely that Hawkeye is setting Kazi up as one of Maya's enemies in her spinoff show, with Kingpin potentially serving as its big bad.
After Clint almost broke up his partnership with Kate in Episode 4, their reunion is a good sign for the finale, especially after the growing number of threats that the pair will face. It is unknown if Kingpin will join the confrontation, but based on what's been revealed so far, it's possible that he would sit this one out since Clint mentioned that he doesn't want the attention.
However, this still doesn't change the fact that Clint is within Kingpin's radar, and that could endanger him and his family moving forward.
Hawkeye Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney+.
